New to me power mod for a 1720

I couldn't help myself. After lots of planning and back-up part ordering, I did a drop block bottle mod on my 1720. Added a Discovery 21" barrel. Didn't know you could do that. Used the standard icemaker poly tube xfer port cut to just slightly longer than the factory xfer port, as the Benji barrel doesn't have the nice flat spot the LW unit has.

I also replaced the spring inside the valve with one from a Maximus valve. It is noticeably softer, but fits on the valve stem perfectly and is the same length as the stiffer stock spring.

With a 1500 psi reg on a 15ci/4500 psi cf bottle and no hammer spring pre load, averaging 870 to 874 w/10.5 Crosman Premiere domes from the tin. .

Had to crank her up pretty good on the hs to get her to 895 fps, but she got louder and just didn't shoot as well, so I backed all the way back down on the hammer spring -

about to add some poor dimly light man cave pics, she's crying loudly for a stock!

EDIT: tacky, and admittedly, poorly lit man cave pics w/DISCLAIMER - right now, THIS IS ONE HOMELY AIRGUN -

she's a shooter deserving of a stock, and will get one, if the creek don't rise, etc.

Auditioned a bigger bottle, 18ci maybe, or.3l? Also installed a new 1" od TKO unit - wow- just a little "zip" when fired - sweet!

Shot for an hour and a half, finished off a tin, and didn't even fall off the 1500 psi reg, from a 2900 psi fill.

More stable from the bench as she still lacks a stock, but not sure how she would handle in a hft scenario - we'll see
