New to AGN, here’s my .257 rig! *need tether suggestions*

Let me start off by saying howdy everyone. 
Yesterday I met with a great group of guys for a meet and shoot here in PA, most of them members here on AGN. This was the first time I got to meet and see so many people that are passionate about this sport, as well as stretch the metaphorical legs of my custom .257 built by Doug Noble.

I shot at 200, 300 and then we pushed it out to 543 yards, the furthest the range offers. I connected only once at 543 and quickly realized the differences in velocity were causing extreme drop difference. We were missing by 1-3 feet vertically, and it was quite frustrating to think we were so close to accurately pinging steel at that distance yet so far away! Haha. Here’s where my question comes in, what tether are y’all running? What do you all recommend ? I have a JSAIR raptor in .257 on order as well, and to my understanding they are quite consistent, but I love this rifle Doug built me and would like to set it up for consistent long range shooting!

Nice rifle.

One of these will be the best from my experience. I use one tethered for my big bore shooting and it holds very consistant pressure and recovers VERY VERY quickly between shots.

I’ve heard of the regman, wondering if there’s any others out there?

Good to know it’s working well for you, this might be the regulator I go with.

Huma makes one. It cost less, but the refresh flow rate is much slower. I have one of them and found it did not provide as consistant pressure for a big bore.

You can assemble your own. Here is the regulator body/valve. Hunt down fitting, gages...etc. You will have nearing as much in a self build as the Regman.

That’s probably the route I’ll be going in that case, on a side note... Loren, I searched up tank bags/carriers, and noticed you were making some, what ever happened to that project? Do you have any for sale that’ll fit a 74cuft tank? Would you be willing to custom make one or two in multicam ?

I drove up from Fairfax VA with my shooting friend Mike, arriving about 1020. It has just been the two of us airgunners shooting at a 100 yard indoor range in Manassas VA, and It was great to see so many enthusiastic shooters, and such great gear!! We hope to be invited back. Thanks to Dr. John and Braxton for a great day on the range!

Nice scope ,how do you like the 3x20 PM2 ? this is a great short scope , great for clip on NV or thermals .Which reticle did you choose?????? I own 2 PM2 one with a pf4 ffp and the other has a Tremor 3

Hands down the best scope I’ve owned, & I’ve owned an older Schmidt, Hensoldt, NF NXS & Steiner. This one takes the cake. Mine has the P4f. My next one will be a tremor 3. As far as NV & Thermal... I’ve contemplated the pvs24LR in WP and the Snipe-ir clip ons, as well as the LWTS -LR clip on... but those vary from 10-16k and with PA not yet allowing thermal/NV hunting... it’s not in the cards for me right now.. I do currently run dual gen 3 MUM 14s in WP on a bridge for stargazing, and I’ve had a simrad clip on and pvs7s in the past. NV is my second passion aside from shooting !

I just used mine to do some fine tuning on my Impact. On gun reg set high and use the Regman to tune up and down until I found the sweet spot. Then degassed rifle. closed up the rifle regulator, then gassed the rifle back full and adjusted the rifle reg to the predetermined set point. So much faster than doing it with just the rifle regulator.

Very cool! I might have to use it on the raptor for the same purposes.
