YouTube has become a complicated place. I read the Partner Page and all it said is that some videos are not suitable for advertisers. Considering some of the stuff on YouTube, this is pretty minor, but complex they want it.

Yeah the social justice warriors get their mitts into everything and need to put blunt ends on everything so heaven forbid someone get poked by some sharp object. Ever since that Susan Wojicki or whatever her name is took over as CEO of youtube it's gone downhill. Instead of rewarding the content creators that made it what it is they do the above. I think it's only a matter of time until a good alternative is made then YT can go all the way with safe spaces across the internet haha.
There's far too many content creators that are getting kneecapped by this system and an alternative needs to be made.

Great to see another video from Ted Bier... I'm glad to admit to being one of the thousands of Ted's Holdover junkies that finally got another fix! Hope just the beginning of many more to come. And I am so glad to see his targets with the Crown at 50&100 yards, because both of my FX rifles will do as well with the plain old smooth twist barrels. So now there is no need for me to worry anymore about getting any X barrels for my rifles!

I still don’t fully get ithe smooth twist X selling point though, because under the maxim “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, why would I want to shoot with non-Cometa (JSB/FX/AirArms) pellets when they are super accurate on my FX rifles anyway? I maintain a nice stockpile of these and share them between guns without the need to worry. Now I do see that the Huben Hammerless K1 will have a major shake-up of the industry, by forcing a new (Super BC) slug design over the traditional Diabolo, but not so much this.

Well yeah that's one part of it, but being able to swap calibers is a big step forward for FX. Another is possibly barrel liners that are suited to higher BC slugs, you could have a .22 Crown and have a non-choked barrel kit for .25 for shooting Rat sniper slugs or NSA. Dual gauges (reg pressure and tank pressure), ability to adjust the reg from outside the gun are all changes that have come with the Crown that weren't available before.
Edit* The Impact can also do some of these things.

I think it's all about progress. If I owned an Impact, would I buy a Crown? No, not enough progress to justify the upgrade. Would I look forward to getting a Smooth Twist X barrel for my Impact, maybe! However, since I own a Marauder and am looking forward to the Crown, that's a massive upgrade and I want the best I can get at this point in time. Smooth Twist isn't broken, but the Smooth Twist X is just a little bit better!

I have to admit, I still don't know what to think of FX using what are essentially barrel liners. Time will tell I suppose...
