New swfa scope in the house and I'm impressed...

i think the swfa scopes are built well and have clear glass. i just cant bring myself to buy a fixed power scope

Try it you may be surprised. As long as you have a decent natural point of aim you will settle in behind it. The hash marks on the reticle are exactly what you expect them to be mils or moa. I like the parallax adjustment on the rear of the scope better than front or side focus. You get no lash like a front focus with the ease of reach of the side focus, actually easier because you can use either hand.

Seems like SWFA needs to build a scope from scratch that IS illuminated and has varying magnification. Then they could compete with the other scope companies who do. I’ve spent at least $500 US on each of my last two scopes and did not even consider SWFA, as they have nothing that compares at those price point. Yes, they are bomber military grade scopes, but we’ll talking about scopes to put on recreational PCPs. They are missing out on the market. And while fixed magnification scopes work, why limit yourself. Honestly when using rifle scopes in the field how many times have shooters said to themselves. “I wish I had more magnification” or, “l wish I had a wider field of view. A 6x24-50mm FFP with an IR in MOA at a price to compete with the Athlons, Hawkes... SWFA, I hope your monitoring these posts. Air gunners “do” have unique optical needs.. this one does anyway.
