New stock for .22 Marauder

I'm recessing the inside of a blank Boyd's Blaster that I purchased. This will be an alternative to my synthetic stock. It's just fun to dress it up. I used a router, drill and moto-tool to cut it out. Now for a sealer coat. Any suggestions for surface coat? I haven't finished a laminate material before.

Wow beautiful stock!! I think I used an oil on the last one I did but it was many years ago.

Mike, my last one was oil and wax, but I haven't done a laminate. I love the sky blue, but it was hard to pick between all the available colors. I figured I'd save a good bit doing it myself, since I enjoy the labor.

Got mine from Norm at Disco's R us ,to replace my rather lack luster Gen1 stock,it's way more comfortable to shoot for me now...you will love it,mine has glossy poly on it,if I had it to do over again I would go with a Matte finish.

I don't think it matters much being a laminate to a regular wood stock. I believe you could still use oils and waxes or you could put some poly on it. I think they would all work and make that beautiful stock pop.
