Hi guys, I received my PP750, .22 today ( I had my eyes on it since I first saw picks from IWA 2019), in the mean time I couldn't wait and got my self also a PP800 ALSO IN .22, which I regulated and run it at 8 ft-lbr.
So first impressions:
The gun is a beauty, vibrates quality.
I shot about 20 pellets today, straight from the box gave me 174 m/sec for 16 gr =11.5 ft-lbr. I tried to reduce it by turning the hammer spring tension screw but couldn't get it less than 169 m/sec =10.85ft-lbr.
I wanted this gun as a backpack hunting kit, and this kind of power looks ideal. What impressed me the most is the steady measured speed - this gun is for sure regulated and provides consistent output comparable to my Steyr LP10, shot after shot!!! I need to verify it with more shots over longer period of time.
Handle grip is very good and the guns sits balanced in my hand, better than my PP800.
Side lever cocking mechanism is butter smooth, no issues in cocking. There is a metal slide (on the barrel) dove tail rail, it firms on any position throughout the whole barrel length when you tide on an optic mount, very clever solution! The pressure gauge is large, and the air tube larger than the pp800, can be filled over to 25 pa!! The trigger is kinda heavy for my taste, very long travel, with a hard end pull, but predictable brake. It needs work, and if it similar to pp800 I know how to improve it.
I didn't like the back sight, just a sliding up-down metal plate firmed in place by a small screw,.. 2 different sights (a square and a half circle ....), no windage. I couldn't figure out where the gun was shooting inside a 10m range, and couldn't adjust it without a small Phillips screwdriver.... When I tried to shoot it with the retractable stock I couldn't easily align my eye to the sight... Tomorrow I'll try it with a higher mounted optic, but I definitely didn't like the open sights on my first look. The gun is silenced, not completely, but it isn't loud either. It cost me 299€ in Greece. I shot it 25 times (5 times unloaded and 20 times loaded) and pressure dropped from just over 200 bar to about 150 bar, so it seems that the gun can do at least 50 shoot if filled to 250 bar- I don't know min reg.pressure but I guess it to be 100 bar. Instruction booklet is very basic and lacks schematic diagram. Packaging contains a full set of o-rings, a multishot magazine, a filling adaptor, and a tool to unscrew the muffler cap.
In overall, I like it !!! It has Power, looks, quality of built, shoot count, competitive price.... it is balanced and easily hold in one hand. I hope it will prove sturdy and accurate like my pp800 - time will show...
On the other hand I don't like the back open sight and the trigger, and the very basic instructions booklet. If anybody has tips on tunning or stripping down, please give hints.
