For those that might be interested, I can definitely recommend the Atlas bipod.
I have been accustom to using Harris bipods pretty much as long as I have been shooting. Recently I had been using some cheap bipod that I am not even sure what brand it is. It is unable to either cant or pan, and comes loose every once in awhile.
I finally had enough and decided it was time for a new bipod. This time I wanted to look at what else was out there, and maybe go for an upgrade. After looking at all the offerings and looking at the reviews, I turned to a coworker that does a lot of long range shooting to ask his opinion. This led me to the purchase of the standard Atlas bt10. I normally only ever take one rifle at a time with me, so the quick detach mount isn't important to me.
I put it to test by taking two squirrels today with the new legs and found it very useful to be able to adjust to the forward 45° position which was never an option with the Harris. I also took two starlings at 45 yards. So far this seems to be well worth the price. I have found this maurader to be a tack driver with the 21gr NSA slugs at about 840 FPS and 33ft-lbs
I think I will finish this rifle out with the Boyd's Pro varmint stock in Blue and pictured on their site.
