new scope

I am stuck in a rut ad need your help. I want a good all around scope for hunting target shooting and what ever comes up. I can't make up my mind on what to get so I would like to hear what all of you air gunners are using and why you like it. I am limited to about $300 to spend. Let me have it what do you use and what makes it so special. Thank you. Frank

I use the MTC Viper connect. It's got the largest field of view for a 3-9X12 scope. Best part is that it's zero eye relief. Love using the scope. Check it out. Also it ain't very heavy and has the SCB 2 reticle which I find better than the mil dot system. the Sterlok pro app has the reticle listed which allows for preety accurate shooting at various distances using holdover.

+1 on the SWFA SS 10X, but it will cost another 100.00 for side focus. The accuracy of the adjustments rivals much more expensive scopes. Keep checking the classified adds, as shooters are always upgrading. I just purchased 2 Brunton echo 6x24 mildot scopes for 89.00 each on close out ( they are out of the scope biz, like Bausch and Lomb, and are sticking to binoculars & such ) and some of their higher line stuff is still available (eterna model), 1 place is botach.com , but let your googlefu do the walking.

I use the Vortex Diamondback 4-12 X 40 scope on my TX-200 .22 caliber fixed barrel spring air rifle.

The Diamondback is great and has great clarity. Once I've gotten it dialed-in, it's stayed exactly where I set it through hundreds of shots. It cost about $289 and is available at most dealers. I like it a lot and chose it over a Hawke, which I had previously owned, simply because the Hawke is going through some significant change right now. Once Hawke settles down with its new releases (June 2015), it will also be a great scope.
