I currently have a Hawke 10-50X60 Sidewinder ED with TMX Glass. I’m thinking about selling it and getting the Hawke Frontier 5-30X56 with the Mil Dot Pro glass. Anyone have or tried both?

Seems like you're going from one extreme to the other. I recommend the Sidewinder with the 1/2 mildot 20X reticle.

Why would you sell the Sidewinder? I have been thinking about buying one. I am currently using the 6-24x56 Sidewinder series and I really like them.

I have a dozen scopes, half are Bushnell and the other half are Hawke which are all sidewinders I really like the Mil Dot Pro glass in the frontier 5-30X56.

Preference to reticule aside, the ED scope, regardless of brand is the better option, IMHO.
You mentioned pro glass, I think that that scope comes with the pro ret, but average glass, while the ED comes with TMx ret and ED glass.
If you were in South Africa I would gladly buy your ED, but I would also feel guilty that I got the better deal
