You are incorrect with your statement “ just a piece of cloth “. If you took the time to read the details on Armageddon Gear website you would see it uses 1/2 in firm foam on all sides to protect the tank. When a properly sized tank is installed the valve is protected. I have been using one for 2 years as I travel. Tossing it about in my truck without any concern of the tank being damaged.
