Just received an order of 4 tins of pellets today from Pyramyd Air that shipped from Draper, UT and was a little less than excited when I opened the (undamaged) box.
Maybe someone just got in a hurry and grabbed the brown packing paper by accident? Did they run out of the really, really great foam pellet packaging they always use?
Is this going to be the new "normal" from them? Or, did they come from someone other than Pyramyd that doesn't use the same care when packaging. Not naming names.
Luckily, 3 of the tins were not damaged and the 4th one only had a minor dent in the lid. Probably no damage to the pellets……….this time.
Don't mean to be whiny; just disappointed, that's all. I don't think I've ever received a damaged tin of pellets from Pyramyd before with the black foam packaging..wherever they shipped from.

February 20, 2021 at 3:22 pm LinkThey have a lot of orders, pickers, and packers…probably statistical probability. I cut big companies some slack. They employ people and give us our toys. I support AOA nearly exclusively now, and they really pack things well. Still, it happens.

February 20, 2021 at 3:26 pm LinkAlso…nothing is damaged right? No damage done then no worries, right? If they are damaged, call them and they will probably fix their mistake

February 20, 2021 at 4:38 pm Link😳… I just recieved and order of pellets (4) last week from pyramid. Packing was great! Pellets were packed tightly in those black foam cut outs snug in a box. Recieved some Baker that were packed nicely as well..

February 20, 2021 at 4:40 pm LinkEvery pellet order I have received from Pyramyd was packed in the foam with cutouts. My guess is they either ran out, China virus problem, or got a new employee. Either way it looks like I will hold my pellet orders for bit.

February 20, 2021 at 5:57 pm LinkMiddle of December I ordered 4 tins of H&N slugs from Pyramyd Air and the shipper person took OUT the 200ct size foam and stuck my 4 tins of 200ct in the 500ct sleeve and proceeded to use the "extra foam" to fill the space on top before sealing the box! …Brilliant.
The slugs were a little beat-up.

I wouldn't worry about it, probably they ship like 100's of tins a day and we see that something was packed incorrectly like once a week…month?
So that's like 1 in 1000 that is packed incorrectly, not bad in my opinion. With all the places I ordered pellets from I never have problems with any of them.

February 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm LinkNever ordered from Pyramyd Air, but AoA has been top notch in every way. Everything they shipped was well packed, pellets or otherwise.

February 21, 2021 at 5:08 pm LinkLast 2 orders of pellets from them came in a Manila envelope with ZERO packing! They ultimately made it right by replacing them (because every single tin, 8 of them, were thrashed almost beyond recognition! ) C'mon P.A., do it right the FIRST time! Not crazy about dealing with A.D. but their pellets have ALWAYS come beautifully packed, whether I'd ordered 2 or 20.

February 22, 2021 at 2:32 pm LinkLast week I got 16 tins of FX 8.44, and they all came in the foam with the tins embedded into it, taped 4 to a block. Like they always did in the past. No problems. Maybe only for smaller orders they are not using the foam inserts?

February 22, 2021 at 10:31 pm LinkVery literally my last pellet order from PA and came packed like you see. 5 tins in each bubble mailer, then both of those shoved in a third and sent out in the US Mail. 6 of 10 tins, while not badly, were dented. They sort of made good by sending me 2 free tins plus $10 in Bullseye bucks.
Haven't ordered from them since and unless the sale is an insane one, I won't be again.

February 23, 2021 at 6:45 am LinkI'm wondering if there might be a problem with PA getting the foam inserts. Environmental concerns? Supplier?
