New(to me) AA/CZ backyard squirrel sniper!

I was browsing the net and went to bakers airgun’s use Airguns section…….mistake! Ended up with an AirArm S200 or more accurately a CZ. Been waiting for BSA CLX forever so figure I’ll try the S200 in the mean time. Cool custom painted stock but from fit and overall balance I think I still much prefer my old BSA Ultra SE, I miss that gun. only problem now is there is no moderator thread so I have to order an adaptor, looking forward to its famed accuracy and probably tune it to shoot hades at around 580fps. I do love unregulated guns for backyard pesting duty, they simply don’t miss for any reason. My 1701 carbine is house sparrows worse nightmare.

sadly I won’t know how good the S200 is till I get the moderator adapter. On a side note the crown on that CZ barrel looks superb!!

I was looking at that same gun - thanks for buying it so I wouldn't be further tempted.

Nice it came with the magazine feeding accessory already fitted. Congrats.

You are welcome! LOL! Guess I was more impulsive than you that day. What made me pull the trigger was the multishot adapter is already installed and overall good price with free shipping. I'm a sucker for that!

Ha! When I 1st got started the S200 was on my short list but I went thru a half dozen springers 1st and then got Marauders and Prods. Let me know when your BSA comes in if u decide to let that S200 go. Of course you will have to prove it’s worthiness!!😅. Have always enjoyed your posts

Thanks! At the current rate who knows when BSA will ever make it to US, even Krale doesn't have it. Must be made of limited edition magical unicorn pixie dust! I have no doubt this gun will be dead nuts accurate like my LW crosman guns. Speaking of which, anyone want a almost new crosman challenger? LOL

I've wanted one of these for a few years now. Finally purchased the CZ 200T, while I was waiting for my L2 to arrive earlier this year.

I purchased from Champions Choice

I added a few bling items from Rowan Engineering out of the UK. And purchased the multi-shot adapter from AA.

Leupold 4X28 scope with Alumina flip covers. Rowan Eng aluminum--trigger blade & barrel band. Stainless steel bolt handle, matching silver sling swivel studs. Rowan air stripper, and Quick fill probe adapter, so I don't need to remove the airtube to fill. 10 extra magazines, because this light weight, super accurate rifle gets 120+ shots per fill. 630fps with JSB 7.3gr. pellets. 6.7lbs with scope.

Really a sweet little shooter.

Enjoy your new CZ200!!

Now that's a cool rifle! Love that stock too. I'd have to put some kind of gold ring Leupold on there to match that air tube!

that’s a cool idea. Only thing is being a suburban backyard pesting gun I was looking more towards how to hide the gun/camo scheme, part of the reason I really like the paint job when I bought it. 😂

@scottblair: very cool build! Still haven’t decided on which scope to go with the gun but I like your setup! I want to put the ATN on it but it will wreck the balance and also it will be a challenge to mount it due to limited rail space. Very likely going to out a light weight scope on like how you have it. In which case the gun will be my dedicated tree rat lead server . LOL

qball....yeah, I wanted to keep this gun the light weight shooter that it is, by putting the 9 oz lupy on it.

I have many high end, and much more powerful PCP's that I love shooting, but a nice walk in my woods plinking with this little gem does keep me smiling. I also always loved the two piece stock of the original CZ, which is why I went to Champions Choice for the purchase.

Have fun!!!!

Excellent gun, congrats!

It's the Air Arms version. I have it in .177 and .22 so I will write a few words about both.

The .177

and the .22

Both have the ALTAROS tube/regulator/quick fill. (Regulators are set to about 107 bar.) Both now have DELTA scopes.

The .177 is tuned at 14fpe for about 65 shots. The .22 is set to 16.5 fpe for about 45 shots. My .177 prefers the JSB 10.34 at 790/795 fps. Others prefer the 8.44.The .22 shoots everything. All JSB (13/14/16s) and the HADES. It also shoots the Crosman Pointed pellets amazingly.

If you don't have a regulator installed, just fill it up to 160/170 bar for shot consistency.

Again, congrats

The rings and moderator adapter showed up on the same day!!!

Couldn’t wait to shoot it of course! The gun was setup for 10 meters so shooting right around 510fps and very stead. Pretty darn accurate it seems but that’s expected.

First impression:

- slightly front heavy but not bad

- cocking is not smooth like the BSAs but not bad

- trigger seems a bit vague and plasticky

- stock is made for someone of smaller statue because while it’s a compact gun it feels small for me or more like a junior gun. For reference I’m 6ft tall 180lbs and don’t have big many hands.

over all very nice little gun, emphasis is on little LOL!!! Still on the fence about it, maybe save it for my son? As of right now I think I prefer my 1720T carbine over this gun besides the fact it has 10 shot mag. If only they made a 1720T with a10 round mag!!!

Will sleep on what I would want to do with this gun…….🤔

Pretty easy to get just about 20fpe out of these "little" guns in .177 with a little work and 13.4 pellets. (Ask Shambozzie) Hardest part is getting the cylinder apart. No machining at all.

Also if you remove the trigger adjusting screws and put a point on them the trigger will be worlds better. Just chuck in a drill motor and hod a file to the end at an angle.

@Peskadot671: LOP is 13.5 inches, doesn't seem that bad from the number but everything just feels proportionally small.

@bigtinboat: Thanks for the great information but before I make any modifications beside tune it up a little I'm still sitting on if I want to keep it. biggest thing is the size and balance, I really prefer the feel of my old BSA Ultra SE. Sadly I had to sell it because it's a .25 so just too much gun for my yard, really wish it's was a 177 but hoping the CLX will come out soon. Maybe I'll let my friend who is shorter/smaller than me borrow it instead of my 1720T, with AR stock it feels really nice.

Played around with the S200 more and I love the adjustable TP!!! I let the pressure drop and adjusted the TP so no matter what the pellet won’t go over 690fps and now I just have to fill to about 160 bars and can shoot all the way down below 80 bars even and still very consistent 675-680 FPS! This makes tuning this unregulated gun super easy! This little gun is growing on me.

also like someone mentioned before the barrel really likes the crosman 7.4 grain pointed pellets, it’s dead nuts accurate with them! Same or a little better in the wind with the hades because of much better BC, most likely keep it a squirrel gun so gonna zero with hades later.

had a section of carbon tube so printed some baffles and caps, now it’s just mechanical noise. Super light so no difference in POI or balance. It certainly is a bit long so will order more tubes and make different length one.
