New Mutant .22 standard

Well I have had my new Mutant about Two weeks and have to say that I love it. Shoots JSB 18 grain great as well as the 15.9. Fifty yards groups are an easy half inch, Now Crosman premier are another story ,while not horrible they don't group as good as I'd like. I can't wait til squirrel season to bust some heads. I was considering buying a LDC but don't know if I really need it? Everyone states it's mouse fart quiet. With Cricket it doesn't matter because the the impact of the .25 pellet can't be tamed.http://photobucket

i too was impressed with my standard, so impressed that i picked up a short. After shooting both i thought the short was slightly louder so i picked up a donny du ldc and a dman adaptor for both rifles.

I think that the short with the ldc is as quiet as the standard without, but the standard with the ldc is really freaking quiet!!

Everyday i shoot my mutants, they continue to amaze me. Welcome to the mutant club

The Polymags 16gr fit great and shoot very good in my Mutant shorty, I have the Listone barrel ,
I am a big fan of the 25 cal guns, But I keep picking up the 22 Mutant,
Its really going to be tough for me when the Mutant 25 comes out,
I really do not care what you got in the gun safe, When its light weight , accurate, fun to shoot,
Its the one your going to reach for every time.

"Steyr"one of the big plus points about my 0.22 mutant (mine is standard) is how quiet it is - wonder how the people at taipan will manage to tame the 0.25 and yet not compromise on power?

It should be possible. The question is if they can do it while keeping it short. If they are going to make it a 50ft lb gun like the other 25 cal bullpups, it's going to need a bigger shroud to keep it quiet. 

Is there an official announcement about the 25 Mutant? I can only seem to find mention of it on forums.
