New MOD Video: Making a barrel extension for FX Impact and Crown

Sorry guys, this time I made it in spanish, but if you activate the subtitles and auto translation, you can read it in english. (Terrible translation tho, better if you just see the video muted jaja)

Basically is how to convert an existing 500mm barrel or a 600mm barrel to a 600mm barrel or 700mm barrel without buying the whole barrel kit , just the liner and an extension. I have been testing this for a while and works perfect. We talked about this a while ago in one of my threads, drawing included.

is your impact a .22cal.? im asking because i want to do your mod but my impact mk2 .25cal barrel measurements are different than the ones on your drawing. my barrel housing outer diameter is 13.9mm and the .25 liners is 9.1mm so im not sure it will fit your drawing. i already ordered this to be made and it will cost me 50 euros for the 100mm tube and im afraid it wont work. im just hoping my caliper readings are wrong. any info would be much appreciated .

For the .25 Cal you can get away with a 9.3 inner diameter. Only problem is you trap the liner with the O rings. To assemble you fit the longer liner with O rings into the shorter 'barrel'

then screw the extension down over the protruding liner. Make sure the last O ring is inside the barrel. The end cap then screws onto the end of the liner as normal. To remove the liner and retrieve the O rings you will need to remove the extension.

So other than the inner diameter witch ill try to change to 9.3, everything else is the same?

The OD is 14mm. Off the top of my head the ID is 12mm so it matches the rest of the barrel. Easy to measure yourself to make sure. I got away with 9.3mm though. I don't envisage removing the liner too often!

basically , other than the unf threads everything else is different from the picture edosan uploaded. He measures OD 13.5mm and ID 9mm.

Ill go with your measurements because i dont trust my caliper . its not precise.

Hey guys, sorry that extension is for .22 liner, as mentioned need to be 9.3mm or bigger for .25 and .30 to fit the wide of the liner

Threads are 1/2 x 20 unf

Aluminum can't be to thin, steel can

Edosan thank you for your replay bro so also the UNF thread must be changed? I thought the thread is the same in all impacts, or is the mk2 different.?
