"sgergen"JTNM - nice footage! That FX 500 is absolutely devastating to those sparrows, doesn't improve the starlings or collared doves day much either.

What are you using for scope, scope camera mount, and camera?

Scott
Thanks Scott. I'm using a Hawke 6.5-20x42, Casio EX-ZR1200, eagle vision camera mount, all filmed in 240fps, 10X & 20X but mostly 20X. So far I'm digging this setup. I just wish my rifle had some more gettyup for the 33gr mk2 heavies or standard heavies. I'm only getting 810 with mk2's & 794 with standards, every fourth pellet might fly straight. I didn't realize they were spiraling wobbling until I got the Casio on it. The Air Arms 25s at 909fps fly real nice.

JT, have you tried increasing the hammer spring tension and or the regulator pressure? My 500 is an older model which didn't have the larger valve seat. I changed that out and increased my regulator to 160 bar and its shooting the Heavies right at 900fps. Before I figured out that my gun had the smaller seat it was 0nly slinging them at 790-800. Now to switch from 25.4's to 34's all it take is decreasing/increasing my hammer spring by 2 3/4 turns.

Jimmy,
I haven't done nothing with my 500. It's still to brand new. I just got it in mid-November, maybe 1200 pellets thru it. Eventually I want to bump up the regulator and or hammer spring for the 34s once the warranty is up.

I wish the power adjuster was setup like this 1 for 25s and 2 for 34s. Then turn of the power adjuster you could switch easily between pellets.

Is something like that possible with the Royale?

Maybe.. why couldn't you go ahead and eventually set it up for the heavies on the power adjuster's highest setting say 890fps and then just use the power wheel to decrease the power level and shoot the 25.4's. Would definitely be a little easier than what I'm doing. Might be worth a shot.
