New Maverick owner here!

I am a new owner of a Maverick in .22 looking for general knowledge. I'd like to avoid some pitfalls on issues like Loctite-able nuts and bolts to "fix", issues with regs and other mechanicals, etc. I have watched many, many Youtube vids on tuning and use but thought it might be worthwhile asking owners on this platform for advice about the little things that might help me better my shooting experience. Not new to airguns but have just got the "bug" about PCP shooting by starting with AV Avenger. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be many clubs or airgun shooting in West Tennessee to learn from others experience.

Generally, I target shoot at local ranges in the Memphis, Tn area (no longer ranges are in this area that I know)but also do a bit of short range pesting. Would like to stretch out shooting to 100-150 yards. Currently use mostly JSB 15.89 Exact Jumbos but have several others on order, including heavier pellets and FX hybrids. Not interested in super high FP energy but rather precision and accuracy.

Any member thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have a mav sniper and compact and cant stress enough that small adjustments to air and spring can have a big difference in group. Also i would suggest that when you start to tune to higher velocity you turn hammer spg counter clockwise till gun wont cock and turn back 1/4-1/2 or so till it will and that the safety works. Then turn up air 2 1/2 bar at a time till velocity drops. This will be max you can get without adding parts. My 22 sniper shoots 27.5 gr nsa to 928 fps and groups well with regs set 130 1 st 112 2nd. Hope this helps
