New kid on the block - Rifle from brazil

The topic title might look a little misleading but the company is actually called Rifle. They're are a company with produces lead wire and airgun pellets. We've found the company at a stand at the IWA and started talking to them. One of the reasons that we were interested is because we were looking for an alternative to JSB (being dependent one solely one company for great pellets isn't what we like and want :) ).

This was the flyer of their company:

and some close ups of their pellets:

Of course pellets are useless if they don't fly so we asked for test samples and received them. The available samples were in .177 and .22, .25 is in the pipeline so they'll be coming out soon I guess. Yesterday I was able to do a test with two types of their pellets. First a pilot group was shot with the current best performing pellet in my Steyr LG110 High Power Hunting in .22 and after that the Rifle pellets:

The JSB Jumbo Exacts were shot at about 280 m/s and the other two at around 270 m/s (which came out best during a rough test). I think the conclusion is pretty clear, they have a pellet that is capable of producing really good groups!

I've already send some feedback to these guys about the premium pellets and they are looking into it now so it can be expected that the results will become better over time :)

Hope this is useful to those who are looking for possible alternatives for JSB (or just for anyone that's interested ;) )

I lived in Brazil for two years and speak fluent Portuguese. I contacted one of the retailers in Tatuape (kinda like a Brazilian 90210) to ask what shipping for a few tins of the 10.03, .177 would run for shipping here to Arizona. I'm interested in them as a replacement for the JSB 10.34s. The exchange rate right now makes them cheaper than JSB, I'm betting that shipping is going to make them HIGHER priced than JSB though. I'll update this post if they respond for me.

Unless someone knows of a place they can be purchased here in the states?

"Franklink"The place I contacted responded with an explanation that they cant export the pellets and therefore wont ship me any. Guess we will have to wait for an importer and all the fun that comes with that.
I don't live in the states so I can't help you with that unfortunately. Anyway, thanks for contacting someone, hopefully this might help in the interest by other players on the market to start exporting or maybe one of the shops to start importing to the US.

Hello, guys.

I hope you're all good.

It's been long since somebody posted here, but we've recently found out about this post, although we had already talked to @broekzwans about our pellets and seen the pictures he'd taken, including those of the group tests.

We're happy with the progress we're making gaining ground amidst established companies in the US. We've been in the market for over 30 years, but only 3 years ago we started to export and we have been in the States for no longer than 2 years. It's a tough going, but that's when you see the tough get going, right?

Anyways, since then, our pellets have improved, some new products have come out - and others are about to - and we've earned the respect of imported shooters worldwide. We're still not distributing in the US, cause we had to turn down some offers that seemed to us to put us in a position of loosing control over the brand and the price, which could cause prices to the final shooter to soar and the brand would be scratched. We definitely don't want that.

We're negotiating and studying other possibilities, though.

Meanwhile, I'd like to offer you an alternative. We could send you our pellets - provided that each order reaches the minimum quantity of 72 tins and the total quantity is a All the costs considered, shipping, taxes, etc, the pellets will arrive in your hands for cheaper prices than JSB's, for instance. Of course this is not what we want to do every time, but I don't like the fact that shooters want our product but they simply can't get them. Creedmoor Sports, in Alabama, stocks our Flatheads, used in 10 m rifle and pistol competitions, but we have a wide selection of calibers and models they don't get covered. Yet, I hope. While we haven't firmly established a dealership or distribution center in the US, we can do it his way.

So, if you friends here, would like to have a go at our pellets, you can consolidate an order with us (7 buddies getting about 10 tins each would cover it) and email us at [email protected]. We can give you all the information on how much it will come at the end of the day. But please, get informed about the taxes you will have to pay to avoid surprises.

Those looking for long distance shots, competition oriented stuff, you must check out our .177 Cal.THUNDER. Weighing 13.43 grains, it outperforms JSB's Monster in most guns at 27-54 yards. Benchrest shooters are loving it. It was developed with many top shooters and then sent to many parts of the world for testing. The result was an extremely accurate pellet to be shot at speeds between 222 m/s to 238 m/s in most guns, up to 250 m/s in others.

Visit our website www.rifle.ind.br and check out our whole portfolio - it's growing - and download our catalog on the top right side of the page.

We hope to hear from you soon!.

Thank you and take care!

UPDATE on the pellets from Rifle Ammunition from Brazil:

I wrote to them last month — and they were very kind and responsive. 👍🏼

They really do have some very interesting pellets with high BCs, and are planning on slugs soon. 😊

They continue to try to establish ways to distribute their pellets in the US, but nothing is final yet. During IWA in Germany things were going to move ahead — but well, even lead pellets got damaged by the Corona virus..... 😟

Here's my favorite pellet:

19.9gr in .22cal

BC of 0.039

➔ It helps to fill this vast gap that JSB and H&N have left open:

—e.g.: JSB has NO high BC pellet between 18gr and 25gr.

—e.g.: H&N has NO high BC pellet heavier than 19.5gr (yes, the Rabbit and esp. the Piledriver have awesome BCs..., IF you can find a gun that groups them well).

Jeff aka Beginner,

that's great you did something about this. Proactive, I like it!

Keep us posted — maybe starting a new post with a more informative title so more people click it, like "New quality pellets sold in Canada" or something like that...! 😄

You'll soon have to figure out how to change your user name, "Beginner" 😄.

➔Because if the aigun bug has bitten you as bad as it bit me in the beginning — you won't be a "Beginner" for long...! 😄

I am Dutch, but live in Brazil. I have shot Rifle Premium round extensively. Accuracy wise, the premium line is on par with H&N / JSB.

But they are really over sized, they out of the tin do not even fit trough the largest hole on my pellet gauge with their heads! That makes the heads bigger than 5.57 mm

I have a pellet sizer as well, and you need push quite hard and the pellets are visibly resized.

They are sold in tins of 125 and 250 not 500. The fact that these need resizing and that the price difference is not that big with JSB (even in Brazil) does not make it an interesting option for me.

Here is a thread on them started by me: https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/rifle-pellets-hard-to-chamber-is-this-harmful/

I have been buying these from Amazon from a man in Pennsylvania. I have had very good luck with the thunder which is 25.3 grain. They fit in a Marauder magazine and they shoot very nice. I also got some super Magnums and domes which are 19.9 and 18.3 respectively. They may be a little tiny bit fat but I have no problem chambering them up or putting them in the magazine!

The thunders look just like an h&n sniper Magnum but instead of being about 18 grains there is that tad over 25. I haven't had a chance to test them at anything greater than 25 yd but at that range they are stacking one on top of another. The cement block that was behind my target cracked in half after three shots!
