New HW97K needs Glass

So I got a new HW97K and I need to scope it. I have a set of medium two-piece 1 inch rings available for it. What are you currently using on your HW97k?

For now, the use will be back yard paper punching. Eventually, I’d like to join a local FT circuit. I know once you step into FT, scopes go to a higher new level.

Id like something not to big that will not hang over the loading port. 1 inch and around 40mm Objective. Budget $250-$300. What’s your take?

Check out cyclops videos. He does alot of top 10 videos that show best bang for your buck scopes in every price category. If I were you and wanted to do field target I'd jump up to the 450 dollar range of scopes. You kind of start seeing alot of improvements in clarity and solid clicking turrets. That being said you don't dial in field target so a 300 dollar scope is usable. I use an Aztec emerald for field target and it rocks. I think it's 30mm tho and also 450 or 500. Anyway Goodluck. I love your taste in airguns. That ones on my bucket list.

One of the SWFA fixed power fits some of what you're after (budget, size, springer tough).

As for field target, the rear focus on the SWFA fixed powers isn't the greatest option but can be used. FT scopes are always a compromise somehow.

I'd recommend the 16x if you're thinking hunter class FT (bipod/bucket).

If you're thinking about being serious in Open or WFTF classes you'll need lots more scope than an SWFA to be able to stay out of the bottom of the heap on the scoreboard. The scopes in those two classes are usually up in price/size/max magnification/etc.
