New Huben

Finally someone agrees with me that the rifle is loud. It's advertised as "ultra quiet" and a guy has described it as neighbor friendly in another forum. May be he meant his neighbors are friendly but that's certainly not my case.

I am making a DIY silencer for my Huben K1. Just unscrew the cap of the shroud and there are threads inside that can be used to secure the silencer. However, as the length of the thread is rather short ( about 15mm ) and that it has got a floating barrel. It will be rather difficult to achieve good alignment between the silencer and the bore of the barrel simply by making the silencer centred to the thread. My silencer is extended backward form the threaded part all the way to the front end of the air tube so that there will be two points about 90mm apart to support the silencer.

Here you can buy a 1/2 UNF silencer adapter for the rifle but this design will offer only one-point support which does not look reliable to me especially if you are using a long silencer : https://airgunheaven.com/en/demperadapter-huben-k1

Thank you for the feedback guys. I have talked to DonnyFL and he does not make an adapter for the Huben. However Donny gave me John Hagen name as someone to contact for a custom built adapter. I contacted John and he will do it for $65.00. My guess if Donny recommends him he is good. Here is is e-mail if your interested. [email protected]

I am very new to PCP Air rifles so take what I say with that in mind. I have shot 6 magazines through it now. It is a .22 cal.

Sighting in took 3 shots. It was 1 inch low and 1 inch right at about 20yds. I then shot 5 shots in to almost one hole. I got pretty excited about that because I have read that a lot of our members have had some accuracy problems. The first magazine was JSB 25.39. At fifty yrds. I shot about an inch and a half group. Acouple of shots were outside the main hole. Tonight I went out to 72 yds and used the 33.95 JSB. The picture below is 38 shots. It is an inch top to bottom and just over a half inch wide.

To me the gun is loud, my neighbors know what I am doing, but I feel that it might be too loud even so. The gun is is very powerful, I have shot it at the factory setting so I have no Idea what velocity is. I really like the way it feels when shooting off hand, it is very light and to me perfectly balanced. The trigger is ok, you know exactly when it will fire. I shoot 2 mags. and then refill, it will go longer but I don't think it will do 3 without falling off the reg, and they stress don't do that with the heavys.

Tutuan I bought the rifle from Joe Brancato. I had a deposit on it. I think he still has some if your quick. No .25 cal though, he said he would get them in the next order some months from now.

As a novice PCP user, I am very impressed, I have several FX guns and a new Vulcan. But this gun is different, I have seen others refer to it as a hammer. As far as I am concerned that is a very good description. It is impressive and different.. I had a tennis ball on the ground out about 90 yds or so.,(just a rough guess), I held about an inch above it and hit it with the first shot, so I had to shoot at it again and another hit. First time I have shot at a target that far with an air rifle. I did shoot the balls with the 25 gr. JSB.

The only thing that came with my Huben were 2 hex keys and a fill probe.

Big Alex where did you get that? Has it changed your impact pt? How much quieter?

Unfortunately I got a very problematic rifle, practically at all knots ((((for today I solved most of the problems except one ..... there is no accuracy, I associate this with very poor handling of the inside of the barrel, so I decided to buy a new barrel from CZ without contraction, I made about 4,000 shots, those parts that are shown on the photo cost 100 usd, the sound of the sial is much more comfortable and the pressure meter at the front is very comfortable.

just received my new huben k1 - cranked it to full power with 25g .22 pellets - definitely not backyard friendly - sounds like a fire cracker. best turn the power down, ha ha.

somebody mentioned there is 1/2unf adaptor with new hubens - mine didn't come with one. there is an endcap to the shroud but it is really tight and I can't get it off without using tools and risk scratching up the shroud. is this where the 1/2unf adaptor is?

else could buy this adaptor but wondering how this would screw on if you can't take the endcap off?

You are shooting way too fast, it will quiet down quite a bit when shooting 25's at about 900fps instead of 1200fps. Search Gregor and Huben on you-tube and he has an adjustment procedure for shooting pellets that increases accuracy a lot. Basically you open the power valve at the bottom of the hand grip all the way, then use the regulator to adjust the pellet speed to 30fps above the desired speed, and then use the power valve to lower the speed 30fps. This procedure eases the pellet entry into the barrel. It cut my groups by 50% at 20 yards using 34 grain monsters. Regards, Tom
