New Gauntlet arrived today!!

Well my Gauntlet arrived today in great condition. My first PCP and probably not the last,

I spent a lot of time looking at reviews from everyone, so I figured I would give mine.

First off, the trigger is crapola, for now. No adjustments to it at this time. Really gritty feel to it, it will stick along the long take up route, so you don't get a good feel for the back wall. I eventually became use to it. I measured it to be about 2.25 lbs. I will make this better.

Its bolt seemed hard to pull rearward, but seemed to get better by end of shooting. I really have no idea how it's supposed to feel since I was just a virgin to PCP's a few hours ago. Loading was easy, I did double load one time, getting a feel for the whole bolt thing.

It was slower than I expected, but I can live with that. Besides the slow velocity, it seemed to be very accurate despite the gritty trigger.

I have included some pics of chrony session and a target from 30yds,that is 10 shots.

I filled the tank again before chrono time, and achieved around 85 shots before noticing drop off.

Enjoy, and thanks to all for helping me in this process.

Good deal> Enjoy.
This rifle should be a grand slam, ode to the marauder.
I've had a QB/HPA fpr year, outstanding rig, really seems THE best thing umerex has ever done. Bit of a shame that the original ads listed ( I believe I recall this correctly) 800fps in .22 but now for some reason it has been changed to the "standard" "1,000fps" and even "1,3000fps" in .177. Most of us know better and only shot placement counts but they were so on the money from what I've seen running the stated pressure.

That trigger is said to be pretty much a QB trigger so as long as you can live with single stage, single digits are doable and if you like a 2 stage set to 1.5lb why simply drop in a screw with a ball bearing& spring, 1-1/2lb 2 stage fun.

Lot's of people already sayoing " hop it up???" "I" wouldn't until someone tests the tubing to destruction as the porting seems ( from the numbers) already optimized so more power could only come from rebuilding the reg washer stack and we do NOT know what the tubing is.

Looking forward to lot's more information on this one.

Spysir, MJS,

The velocity is kind of a let down, but I will take the slow velocity and keep the accuracy just like you two mentioned.

I will be trying to do some trigger work on it. It sounds like this is a QB trigger and looks pretty easy to get cleaned up. I feel if i can get this trigger down from 2.25lbs to about 1.5lbs, and get the creep out it shot really shoot like a dream.

I will keep you updated when i do this.

Thanks
Scott
