New on Friday Fx will not cock. A You tube video says adjusting trigger over travel may help. It did not. Looks like it is going back Monday. Any ideas?? Thanks, Bob.

Is the magazine inserted? If it is, it might not be clocked right (sitting inbetween two cylinders). If that's the case, just give the magazine a little turn until you feel it seat
You can also just pull the magazine out, and the rifle will cycle if everything else is in order.

Thanks hollowpoint. The mag is inserted and is immobile. It will not rotate nor can it be pulled out without tools. This gun is very sick!

Sounds like one of the pellets have backed out a little in the magazine and is preventing the magazine from rotating. Happens to mine occasionally when shooting JSB Heavies. You might try cocking it again and when the side lever is back pull the magazine out. It’ll be hard and it’ll ruin the pellet that is doing the hanging. Hopefully that’s all it is and if it is for future prevention be sure and really push the pellets well below the surface of the magazine. Good luck and keep us updated.

And make sure of cocking procedure. Any stutter or hesitation can get you a double load! If a pellet is stuck you can push it back with wood dowe or cleaning rod

Sorry that you’re having issues.
I would agree with Jking’s post - correct pellet seating is important.

You must get the magazine out first, before you can check anything else. Try the cleaning rod down the barrel. If it's just 1 pellet half way out, causing the jam, you should be able to push it back into the magazine, and then remove it.

Thanks for the advice guys, but the gun has never been loaded as the mag will not come out. Cleaning rod down the barrel hits metal, not lead. I'll be calling the dealer as soon as they open, but am quite sure it needs to go back.

Sounds like the barrel is not positioned correctly.
Underneath the forward cheek piece (small one) are two set screws. Remove the cheek piece and the second set screw. With a flashlight, locate the indentation in the barrel where the set screw should be. You may need to rotate the barrel a little to find it. Put the screw back in place (not too tight) and rotate the magazine. Once it rotates correctly, tighten down the set screw and you should be good to go.

Makes sure the connector/coupling between the cocking lever rod and the extension rod didn't come out of adjustment.

Wow! Over $1k and bad from the box, makes me think if I'm ever going to pony up for an FX I'd be best off buying from a dealer where I can test function while I'm still in the shop.......

True, but components or what have you might fail at some point down the line.
I had a regulator go bad on me inside of 300 pellets. I replaced it myself and now the gun is better than when I first pulled it out of the box.
It does suck to have problems with a new gun though.

These situations happen and that's why I told the wife I need no less than 5 high end PCPs so never out of the game. It has worked so far. LOL Best of luck on the FX repair, keep us posted on how they treated you and time it took to get it back.
