New SLUGS FOR .22 And .25 Caliber

First test at 31 meters speed was between 306 and 294 meters second becouse no reg

Startet from down to up with shooting

Seems like barrel need to lead in groups start go tighter

Ammotyp was flatnose 3.5 grams

That was first shoots of clean barrel what you can see here

Must make.more tests and have no time..

I dont tested different variations or speeds or lubed and unlubed shots.

Most time between 306 and 294 meter second in speed

Groups start s tighten.

Here the pics for first

Unregulated Gun

Lothar 17.7 choked

306 to 294 meter second at most

31 meters range

With lowers speed start better grouping

270 meter second.

Dont try lower speeds i run out of time

I think at the higher speed the air blast may tumble the slug once it exits the barrel. LW barrel has a bore of 6.32mm and groove of 6.45, and the slugs are 6.36, hence the air escapes faster(through the gaps) than the slug. Bands will make a difference. since you said leading the barrel is resulting in 2.5cm groups then try the bands.

Must make a lot more testing this is just one weight and speed i have just try a small piece of that hole spectrum.

I have no tested barrelbands just the slugs.

I know every pellet that pergorms now good ouz my barrel have need testing.

Speed

Pressure

Skirtsize

Lubed or not

Maybe fter 150 shots net a clean for grouping

And here is a lot more of variations.

I like your tool just need time to find best settings for me

Im sure to finde the right combination for my barrel

nice rifling marks , they look proper size , have you got them to shoot any better , have you sorted by weight ? just curious if u look very close ar ammo is it as deep all the way around the ammo ? like evenly etched ? Let us know , I think you good with diameters you have good rifling marks it has to be spinning good , try a different speed or weight , and if it is still bad it must be sprialing can you see pellet in flight ? is ig going straight ? and how close is ammo in weight ?

Update

My airgunstuff is out of Germany becouse the limits here of 7.5 joul thats around 5 fpe.

I can make next tests in late summer.

At last day before i come back to germany i have do this

I have push a few slugs trough my barrel in both directions and have noticed when i push it from breech to muzzel the slug is loose in the barrel at the last 12 cm.

So no resistance at the zone where the choke.must bee.

In other words this is the problem that my gun is so fussy some days it shot at 48 yards 1 cm circles with jsb and sometime the open up .

The pellet can compensate this looser point with his blowen skirt the sulg cant do it.

I have tested a nother slugtype form a other manufacturer. Mp mold 48gr/280m/s

In field conditions i hit most targets that i aim (take a magpie down at 180 meters)out to 250 meters but on paper it gives my a terrible groupe.

So i have to solve my barrel issues.

With the at 44 a dont have make some test.

I will try to grab a poly barrel unchocked for the summer.

The manufacturing prozess with this little swaging tool makes fun .

The bullets on the pics was swaged with a oxidized wire.

I make a mold for a 5mm wire than i can cast it myself in 3 inch sticks.

It was my first swaging experience ...after 100 bullets the swaging kit start to break in and the hole prozess is smooth.

So i can say for now

My first results at paper was not impressive but i find the error on the barrels end and must fix it.

But the swaging is simple and smooth wit much variations and makes fun to my when i have do it.

I would buy this thing again

I was in holydays this time , and i dont realy watching on the clock

We hade a rainy day this morning i thake my coffee and go to the pavillion and start

with the manufacturing.

If i look to the swaging video from gmi with this tool i can say yes its realistic

after roundabout 100 piecs the tool start to run smoother.

I hade buy the cheapest press it was advertised with 500kg to max 1 ton i dont think it has one ton maybe with my hole bodyweight on it

its ok but it think

a bigger one was more comfortable. You dont have to invest so much force with your hand and can work with half power or less

I have in my time there a loot of new toys (altaros booter, regulator, rifle tuning) and all needs time to testing out for a perfect function and usage

With the slugs i start to late and run out in time

My next chance is in late summer to fix my barrel issues and shooting slugs from my mold and from gmi swag tool.
