Expecting them in our next order from Sweden, so should be mid-May when they hit the dealers. Tungsten will be here around the same time if not a week earlier.

Totally understand where you're coming from. All I can say is that you don't have to wait much longer... very close and all will be explained at that time.

for pellets the soda straw barrel is just fine while reduce the weight and the flexibility of changing barrel liner to different twist rates. I actually have a TJ barrel machined for FX, whiles I does exactly what you said it would but the weight gain is very significant since it’s towards front and it’s only 500mm. Adding a solid 700mm or even 800mm will make the gun really really front heavy or bench only gun while I’ve taken 700mm barrel out for hunts with ease. This is not perfect for super precision like a free floating heavy barrel but for the most part and to most people it’s the best of both worlds. I’ve added ghetto barrel tension system to my 700mm .25 barrel and definitely helped with some harmonics but mostly prevent any POI shift when bumped. It’s a great system IMHO!

As you said, this is my FX Impact M3 with solid BSA .25 barrel and a custom made shroud cum suppressor.
I like this sturdy setup.

All of this "barrel harmonics" blather is heavy in air guns, mostly because of the soft barrel material, and the thin barrel wall thickness.
In the firearm realm, this is where you get, from .22 l.r. all the way up (caliber wise), is where the "bull barrel" (large diameter, heavy wall thickness) comes from.
All of my large caliber guns have since left the building, but my two .22's, both have heavy "bull barrels". That aren't negatively effected by the harmonics of shooting.
So...now folks are adding stressed barrels, carbon fiber sleeves,...over...carbon fiber sleeves..!? And many don't even do that assembly correctly !
Seems to me the air gun manufacturers should have learned from the 1980's fire arm technology, and stiffened things up...BEFORE they manufacture and ship to us..! OR...is it a ploy to just make more money from us in buying..."extra" goodies !?

Is there a reason FX isn't offering a barrel house extension? I had a machinist make one for me a couple years ago and it's great. Would really add value for FX shooters. 50$ to buy an extension for all those 700 or 600mm owners that want to keep the same caliber but use an 800mm liner.
You make some money, the customer gets better value. Having to buy a 400$ kit when the customer already has 90% of the kit already is a bit silly IMO.
That said some nice improvements on this updated M3.

I just thought about this if I have the barrel tensioned 800mm on and decide to swap barrels or even calibers, it won't be just a single bolt and pull the barrel kind of thing anymore right?
This new part goes under the pic rail in place of the factory block correct? Will I be able to put another barrel on in front of that if my other barrel does not have a tensioner? Like a regular fx barrel? I assume it all has to come off to put a regular barrel on. Yes?

I received my M3 in Feb 2022 after waiting 6 months on the preorder list. I wonder if my M3 has the "unbranded" new Power Block. I sent an email to FX along with a picture of my existing power block and hope to hear back from them soon. Anybody have any good intel based on my posted picture if it's "unbranded" or a 2021 variant?

You really need to call FX to confirm. My S/N starts with 2148 and Melissa at FX said it was made in March of 2021. I doubt U/A would know when the gun was made. When the gun was delivered is meaningless.

Yes, one would think to first make contact with FX directly,
I sent emails to FX long with a picture of my power block and here is their reply below. Luckily, Utah Airguns looked into my order and checked the serial number and gave me the answer in less than 24 hours. FX in the USA is sort of useless and insist that all customers go directly to the dealer they purchased the gun from. If you bought your gun 2nd had, you are out of luck according to FX in the USA.
I forgot to mention in my original post that I jumped the gun and "PREORDER" the Power Block upgrade kit from Utah Airguns as soon as I heard about it. Afterwards, I read a Facebook post about the possibility of me already having the new Power Block installed. So I made contact with Utah Airguns to cancel my preorder if my M3 already had it installed. They check the serial number which confirmed the new Power Block is already installed. I'm sure that Utah Airguns would have rather sold me the upgrade if I needed it. But did not. Good for Utah Airguns.

We are asking all customers who are questioning whether they have the Power Block to please reach out to the dealers to verify this information as we cannot verify this information from our distribution center. Still, the dealers are able to as they have all serial numbers and dates of manufacturing available to them.
