I revived my new FX Impact X today. I fired two shots through it and then the cocking lever would not close. I noticed the pin for the cocking lever was not allowing it to go forward (see picture). I pushed the pin up and have worked the action several times and it seems to be staying now. Anyone else had this issue?

Looks like a chunk of metal is missing on the top right-hand side. I would say it is amanufacturing defect.

Contact the dealer ASAP and get a replacement. Definitely a manufacturing defect. It happens.

Immediately, someone will react. A product that has been called "advance product" should not make "silly error". Complain to the manufacturer know where he is having problems. As for the car, even a Maybach Exelero car can be complained.

Not surprising nothing new it’s a fx send it in for repair. You have a 3 year warranty. Fx has a new repair facility. Your in good hands. I have to send mine in not a impact but a fx monsoon for repairs. Just be glad of you warranty unlike me I have to pay for mine since it is not under warranty.

Send it back ,and get a new gun , Sorry this happened , When you spend 2k on a gun it should be flawless , The last FX I bought was in 2016 and I had same issues where gun was messed up out of box and not just a loose screw , they really should QC their stuff , I really liked fx for their cocking levers and triggers but , the guns just to fragile for me , When you have a good impact they shoot very smooth but they not a rugged gun .

Thanks for all the reply's. I bought FX Impact from Utah Airgun. I sent them an email, waiting for a reply. It is frustrating when you spend $2,000 for a gun, $185 for a moderator and $547 for air tank then you have to send the gun back.

Sure it is frustrating but nothing in life is perfect. Expecting perfection with anything in life is likely to lead to disappointment.

With your situation, give them a call when they open. I'm sure they'll handle it.
Reason I say call them is because it could take them a while to get to your email, whereas the phone will be answered immediately.

Bob_O is right, just call this AM. Faster you get the approval to send back or send you the part, faster you can start shooting. Maybe they'll send a couple extra tins of pellets for the inconvenience. Can't hurt to ask -

I did hear back from UA. They said that some times that pin falls down on the Impact and to just push it back up.
I took it apart and put locktight on that pin and will see if that will solve the issue. I have time to to make sure this is working right. I got the gun to hunt next fall so I will be doing a lot of shooting this spring and summer getting it sighted in and getting familiar with the rifle.

Glad you got a response. Did you send them your picture from the original post? That does look like possibly the groove wall that the pin slides in has fractured. I would want to make sure that is good before warranty period is up. I'll bet they will take care of it for you even though it is a bother and you shouldn't have to deal with it. Hope you get it taken care of to your satisfaction.

"sometimes that pin just falls down and just push it back up" Really? I really do want an Impact because you can do so much with it. But dear lord man FX makes garbage. They need to straighten out there act. I mean thats a nice chunk of change on an airgun to have so many issues. I get that some have good luck with theres be man the amount of people that have issues. What the eff. No, no, and no effin way should that be acceptable. Honestly I partly blame the dealers for supporting this kind of junk.

Doesn't seem to be the best response to have been given but calling FX generally "garbage" and "junk" is not deserved IMO. Lots of people have them and apparently have had very good results with them, you probably just don't hear it as much.

One thing that greatly adds to airgun enjoyment, if at all possible , get together with other airgun folks and shoot everything they own. Most people are very open to having people check out there gear. Hardly an airgun left in the house ( 5 ) but anyone around the 99109 zip code is welcome to fire a pellet here. Check out your area.
