Just picked this Beeman RS2 up for new $75. Scope included. Bottom picture. Ya a cheap Wally World rifle. But have read some good things about them. I cleaned it checked it out. The .22 barrel is installed. Shot it about 30 times. So far it seem to be pretty darn accurate and it was suprising this little rifle packs a pretty good punch.

Never would have considered getting one but for the price I couldn't pass.

I now have both the Beeman duels. Might have to get the Silver Kodiak

I lost those plastic button type fore end screw covers on my RS2. Not familiar with that double barrel gun on top. Yo!

Double barrel

Other dual barrel rifles all feature interchangeable barrels that the you can change. But they all hold just one barrel at a time. The Double Barrel rifle has two barrels that are mounted to the rifle. When this spring-piston rifle is cocked, both barrels pivot downward, being held their breech by the base block. The barrel are steal shrouded by I believe it aluminum. There is a .177 dual and a .22/.177 caliber. Mine the later.

I would think you would get decent groups with the dual .177 but with the dual .22/.177 I tried everything to get a group without success. I changed the valve out to shoot each barrel single. Now the .22 shoots dime size groups the 177 I can hit 3 inch target constantly.

A different and unusual rifle that is better shooting than most of the reviews gave it credit. Definitely fun different and brings a smile to faces.,

I gotta admit when I go into Wal-Mart that Silver Kodiak catches my eye really reminds me of the RWS Black and Silver Edition Model 34 from yesteryear. I'd try to not give into buying that Silver Kodiak. I'd be Too tempted to go looking for a tune kit for it. Really Nice Looking gun. Yo!

I figure I'll shoot it as much as possible until it needs tuned. But I always end up tinkering on all my rifles so it will get one sooner than later.

The Beeman RS2 has been tore down and tuned. The seal was fine so rather than trying to find one I used it. There was very little metal or other crap in the chamber from the factory. Surprise... Polished lubed and assembled. I also decided to soft bed the stock before assembling it. A fair amount of work for a $75 rifle but it will be well worth it. Going to test it this afternoon.

It already was shooting great this can only improve this low cost Chinese beeman.

Tuned, soft bedded loctite on the .22 barrel set screw. and added a red dot.

You would never think this was a cheep Chinese Beeman. It s is so smooth and quieter now. A absolute joy to shoot. I took it out and sighted in the dot. Had 11 empty pellet tins, these my targets set at 30 yards. I was able to shoot them over and over. Almost becoming monotonous.

For $75 and a few hour of time a $75 rifle that shoots like one several hundred dollars more.
