New eyes šŸ‘€

Going for cataract surgery next week on right eye and will have left eye done two weeks later. My right eye has been progressively getting worse this past year, to the point I have to close it to see without double vision sometimes,Ā definitely not good for driving.Ā They will also be replacing the lensesĀ so I wonā€™t need glasses anymore for distance. Iā€™ve been wearing glasses for almost fifty years,Ā I canā€™t wait to be free of them. I havenā€™t been shooting much lately.Ā The last couple of times I tried shooting, I ended up shooting leftyĀ and using right hand trigger finger, awkward to say the least. I canā€™t wait to get back to shooting right handed again, I will need to make up for lost time. Also canā€™t wait to pick out some cool sunglasses that arenā€™t prescription!

Congratulations! It is well worth the the effort to get it done. I had worn glasses and contacts from the age of 5 and got the surgery at 68. Just turned 71 and it is like a whole different world to wake up to without having to find glasses just to see the floor! Still need reading glasses but the "eagle vision" at distance is worth it. Shooting became fun again.!

The surgery itself only takes a few min. and is easy. Good luck !

Sure would like to get paid their hourly rate for this operation. I would buy everyone a new Delta Wolf and compressor.

I had both eyes done a little over a year ago. The left eye was set so vision was clear from a little over arms length out by one doc. The right eye was done by a different doc in the same office and I assumed it would be the same but he set the right eye vision from around 20" out. With out glasses my computer screen is clear with the left eye but blurry with the right so I still wear glasses. Know what you're getting and enjoy clear vision...

Had both eyes done in 2016. Distance vision was near perfect for about a year. I was told that there was a 10% chance that in time there could be a protein accumulation on the lens when they did the procedure. Apparently 10% chance was good enough. The slow buildup of this goop on the lens reduced my vision back to pre-surgery level but was easily removed with a laser (at my expense). Iā€™ve always had ā€œfloatersā€ but after the procedure they seemed to be more apparent. The eye docā€™s explanation was that ā€œnow I can justĀ see them betterā€. Uj
