New Edgun Leshiy and hand pump questions...

I just picked up my gorgeous Leshiy with both .22 and .25 Cal barrels and I’m seeing a constant drop in pressure in the tube after filling with a Umarex (Hill) hand pump. It seems to be about 1BAR every 1-2 min. Is this normal after filling with a hand pump? So far as I can tell the drop doesn’t stop and overnight the pressure dropped from 200 bar to 29! I’ve tried locating an air leak and so far I can’t find any with soap bubbles or balloons. I’ve also tightened both bleed valves. The gun holds pressure long enough for target shooting but a few hours of squirrel hunting could prove problematic.

Any guidance would be appreciated, thanks!

Have you tried changing the edmu gauge? My leshiy had the gen 1 edmu, there is an oring inside the edmu. If the other seals in the tube are good, I.e main tube, fill port, for me it was the gauge. Some people put a balloon on the end of the gauge to see if it is the gauge. Try putting a analog gauge, a high quality wika or Huma and then see if that helps. I feel the rest of the rifle, besides the edmu gauge is very easy to service and re seal, hence, why I recommend putting a simple gauge on and going through the other orings . Also, don’t forget the tank bleed screw , the little grub screw to release tank pressure. I don’t think using a hand pump is causing the pressure drop, I think the leshiy is leaking. Good luck, also, Brian at edgun west is really good at helping out to troubleshoot.

Only leak I’ve had was underneath the analog gauge. You can put a latex glove or balloon over the end of the buttstock with rubber bands and see if it’s leaking from there. Just over the gauge only first and then over the gauge and fill port that way you know which oring, if it is one. It may very well be one of those places. Mine is the analog gauge and the oring under it was hardened and leaking. Fairly hard to get the old one out but once replaced it doesn’t leak at all over any time period.

Yeah I gave up on the rubber glove thing and it was dunk time. I did replace the oring under my gauge first but it still leaked. It was the gauge itself. My gun didn’t have the digital gauge which I think is a known leaker. My analog gauge just had to be replaced. The fill port is usually always the first culprit and most don’t even waste the time of trying to diagnose it. Just replace the tiny oring. Only takes a few minutes.

Been awhile, time for an update. I located the leak, it was coming from the Huma reg. I Replaced the seal and re-silicon’d it. It held pressure for a few months in the safe and now it’s leaking again. I swapped back to the stock Edgun Reg to see if maybe the Huma is just out of spec. Brian thinks it’s moist air from the hand pump eating the seal. I have the dessicant attachment on the pump, is the air really still moist enough to kill the seals in 2-3 fills? It’s about 60% avg. humidity where I’m at. I may buy a cotton in line oil/water filter to see if that helps but it still seems way too quick for mositure to be the culprit. Anyone else here hand pumping a Leishy with a Huma?
