I just picked my new dog from the airport last Friday. He came from the Czech Republic and is fully trained in obedience and attack work. I had to put my other one down last month and was down in the dumps. I always took my pal with me when I went to the range and out in the field. I will be spending the next 4 weeks training with him. Then I will be getting back to shooting and hunting.

I know its not air gun related but I'm just excited to work with a new pal. Here is a couple of pictures of Waffen the dog. He is not in charge of anything like Tom's buddy Frank the  cat but maybe some day. Lets see some photos of your shooting pals.

That's a gorgeous shepherd there. I had a pair as a kid. Great dogs.

Beautiful… lot of 'red' in his/her coat.

Would make an awesome RedWolf companion!

I didn't think of that I now have a must have reason to buy a Redwolf. Thanks for the Idea!!

Rusty (the wonder-dog) rescued me from a deep funk after losing our first Australian Shepherd (LOVE the breed). He's closing in on 14 now; damned old for a large breed. Doing pretty well considering he's almost blind from cataracts (resulting from diabetes because we loved him TOO much). Otherwise he's holding up pretty well for an old guy. He's the closest thing I'll ever have to a son.

As I've found after losing girls, a new one works wonders for healing One's pain. Congrats on your new Best Friend; may you have a long, happy life together

English Springer Spaniels have a special place near my heart. I just love hunting pheasant with a flusher. Unfortunately my little buddy is gone now. Miss him a lot. Need to get myself another one.

He is a beautiful dog . I love the black and red GSDs. Though I have never been lucky enough to find one especially that was affordable. My first German Shepherd was a  male solid black long hair from Belgum .Everyone that saw him ranted over his beautiful shiney black coat. He lived 13.5 years. Now I have a black with brown legs he’s my buddy of 8 years

Nothin' says love quite like a GSD.

He's a handsome, intelligent looking feller.

I've a field Labrador myself.  Bred as a gun dog, 5 generations pedigree, field trials champions in every generation.  I keep him as a pet, which is a terrible waste in a way, but he's brilliant company.
