New compressor about to hit the market

Hey Guys,

We have tried and sold a few different compressors.

This new unit, is much faster.

13cu 0-3000 is 1 min 40 seconds. 
19.3 (paintball tank) from 2000-4500 under 15 minutes
118 (SCBA tank) 2000-4500 about 30 minutes
these are more than twice as fast at the others you guys are referring to. 
(We sold some of those last year)

They cost the same from us as they would buying them 10 at a time, direct from china yourself.

We took the time to develop a cooling system as this was the weak link in the unit direct from china and offer these as product support for our pcp airguns.

Nothing fly by night about it, just not a huge corporation. 

Just like in our YouTube videos, its me and my son in law Buck.

"binfordw"Ah, just misread then I guess. I saw 28 seconds for a 13ci tank, from 0 psi to 3k. That seems very fast to me! I don't know anything about the omega compressors.
They filled 1.6 cu-ft (13cu-in) tank from 0-3000 in about 1min 30-40seconds.

What is that about 1 CFM which is twice as fast as other compressors $1000 range compressor (correct me if I'm wrong).
 
I've been considering this compressor and I have a few questions:

What are the average costs of parts to maintain & service this unit?
(rebuild kits and dryer replacements etc.)
How many hrs run time before servicing/rebuilding?
Are the moving parts that are subject to wear available on
the open market or are they only available through M-rodair?
In the upgrade package you list an inline dryer, is that
another intake dryer or a high pressure outlet filter?
So if you get the full upgrade package do you get a total of
two or three dryers?
Looking forward to seeing the rebuild/internals video.

Last one, if I'm reading this right from the day you put down your
pre-order you have the 20days + shipping( + 3-4days of build time)
so just over a month and your compressor will be ready for final payment and to ship, right?

We decided a while back, to offer a HPA compressor to support our pcp Airgun products.

We tried the other types and they work, but not near enough product support from the manufacturer.

Didnt mind them being slow to fill tanks, but replacement parts and service/repair parts just aren't there.

From the manufacturers post here on the forum, I ordered a sample of the new style we have coming in now. 

Since the unit worked well and has REAL piston rings, we decided to mod that sample, with a nice cooling system, & high temp shut off .

We ordered these compressors, 10-12 days ago, with the understanding they have a 20 day lead time.

There is of course a couple of weeks shipping time from China to here.

These as most of you know, can be purchased directly from China, but do have minimum qty and even then the price is about the same when you add shipping.

We ordered a container load and got a good price, to secure our distributorship for the USA.

Part of the deal, is every unit comes with a rebuild kit for the customer AND I get another kit for each compressor to keep on the shelf along with spare hard parts for product support.

What's holding some of us back is the dryer unit. We need to be confident that the air is completely dry. I personally am not confident in just a water separator for the drying unit.
In my humble opinion, if you can create a compressor that is quick (relatively), low cost to service,produce dry air, and cost under $1500.00, you could greatly impact the airgun industry. There are many who don't have access to a fill center and if they want an air rifle, have to choose a pump are compressor. Many, however, just go in a different direction due to the expense. Many more also leave when they get tired of the hand-pump.
1500 bones is alot of money, but, you could potentially make the air rifle hobby much more affordable for the average person. We are anxiously waiting for your next Vid.
 
"dannyshoots"Gundog, you and others mentioned SCBA tanks. I work at a mine and the rescue team has compressor to fill those tanks. They tried to fill my new Omega tank but didn't have proper "male" connection for my female tank. Can someone familiar with SCBA fills tell me what I need?

This will connect to your foster fill hose and the other end to a CGA 347 which is likely what the compressor has if they are filling SCBA bottles

You could also get the following fitting and make one:
Male CGA347 x 1/8NPT
1/8NPT to QC foster

Basically the left hand fitting in top pic and the right hand fitting in the bottom pic screwed together. Just make sure you get 6000PSI fitting min. Places like North Shore Compressor sell them.
 
We understand about the dryer and its importance to this purchase for so many.

here is the unit from our manufacturer initial offering.

We have asked for some changes to make this a plug and play system as some customers are looking to save on initial cost, so there are two other options and both are being offered by the time our shipment arrives.

One will be used on the compressor itself and the others offered separately at a great price.

It did take a bit of doing to mass produce these quickly enough to catch up to our compressors and still be able to properly post images and details, so we concentrated on getting them made and tested first.

What does this mean to our customer ?

Our compressor, already has adequate square separator for general use, so the configuration was changed to accommodate this setup for ease of upgrade by the end user if needed in the future.

The other dryer coming in from the OEM manufacturer is a more simple inline unit, about twice the size of others on the market and half the cost.

We have not posted this information to date, in an effort to avoid confusion about the dryer type, size ect.

Our prototype, is finished and we can post images of the finished product in about 2 days when they return from surface finishing.

Hope this helps the confusion about the dryer to some extent and you can be expecting more detailed info, specs and images in a few days.

Trying to follow, review and respond to 5 forums in 3 countries about this currently, so please bear with us.

Just want to make sure and get the best deal on a solid compressor package we can all afford and enjoy.

These can be used with a variety of media and we have asked the OEM compressor manufacturer to supply a simple filter cartridge insert to make them much more user serviceable and offer more flexible solutions to filling our pcp products.

"binfordw"I'm no compressor expert, but just because its 3 stage doesn't mean similar fill speeds. Volume could be much higher, the stuff Ive read so far seems pretty fast.

Compressing the air in stages is done to allow the heat generated to be dissipated - you'll see that there is usually a cooling coil between each stage on good quality compressors.

That way your tank doesn't end up boiling hot which would cause a big drop in pressure after it cooled down and also put more strain on your tank.

But none of that bears any relationship to cfm or "fill speed" although better quality compressors will usually have at least three stages.

Compressor size does matter however and bigger compressors with bigger motors will usually have much faster cfm rates.

But unless you are filling lot's of SCUBA tanks at a busy dive store small compressors are completely fine for shooting needs.
