New compressor about to hit the market

Sounds like Mrodair.com will be releasing a new compressor with a base price of $975 and a fully upgraded model for around $1300. Not listed on their website, but read about it on the yellow and here is a youtube video that is mainly for the Huben rifle, but there is info about the compressor at the end. Granted it is a chinese compressor, but sounds like it could be a great unit at a good price.

"Gundog"I will wait until it is proven by some users for a while. Right now it costs me $8 to fill a tank it is about an hour round trip maybe a little more if I wait for the tank to be filled. I have been thinking of getting another tank an SCBA type off ebay.
I have an extra 65.5cf SCBA tank that I could sell if you're interested. I just had it hydro tested and it has I think 7 years left on it until it is end of life. Just pop over to Yakima and you can pick it up.

I was under the impression it was a 4 stage compressor but then realized it is a 3 stage. My comment about speed was based on some numbers I saw that would put this compressor around the same speed as an omega and had nothing to do with the number of stages. The video indicated that it was rather fast, but numbers didn't seem to jive with it being any faster?

Mrodair has been sketchy at best in the past, and this compressor is sounding much of the same!! In the video he says it is a 4 stage but then there is text that corrects and says it is 3 stage. Does he even know what he is selling? The video also says in text it is a .3 Liter per minute compressor. That is only .01 CFM which is SLOW!! Even if it is a miss print and it is 3 Liter per minute, that is only .12 CFM which is still SLOW. Those numbers far from jive with what he posted on the yellow. He stated as you said 28 seconds 0-3000psi for a 13ci tank and he didn't say the start pressure but that he could fill his biggest scba tank to 4500psi in 28 minutes. If that is 3000-4500 in 28 minutes then ok, but if it is 0-4500psi in 28 minutes then it has to be 3cfm or so. So maybe he meant 3cfm instead of the .3 liters per minute he posted in the video?

Looks really similar to the below link.

this one almost the same

Seems there are lots of cheaper chinese units if you want to look for them.

Here's one touting 100l/min 4500psi with a tank similar to a shop compressor, how do they do that for $150-175 per unit? Just doesn't seem right

another $700-900 one

I couldn't get your links to work, but always forget to check alibaba for chinese compressors so thank you!! If my calculations are correct based on the numbers listed on alibaba, they seem to jive with the .3 liter per minute posted on the video and if those numbers are correct, then it is not fast at all. Definitely looks like the exact same compressor as mrod will be selling.

This compressor looks interesting, certainly a better option than the mechanized bicycle pump Omega that uses rubber O-rings and is a nightmare to rebuild. However before considering one of these, I would need to know more details about the water removal system in this compressor. Mrodair has upgrades, but it doesn't include an hour meter as part of the package. All high pressure compressors which require servicing should have hour meters built in. I added one to my compressor at a cost of only $10 but needed to be wired into the circuit..
