New camera trying it out-960fps super slow motion Impact shooting. (New video)

Shot at 960fps slow motion then slowed another 50% in editing, the end is just some plinking (Full 4k) against the steel target I made at 50m. Not spectacular shooting on my part but you get the idea. Scope cam mount is on the way!

Little more trying things out, was a bit too dark and using a cheap mount but here's some footage through the scope. Most shots are 480fps and a couple are 960, be patient I'll get better haha.

I'll try keeping it to 240 or 480 in this light and maybe 960 with a blue sky and full light and see how it goes. I'll also lower zoom on the scope to see if it makes a difference, eagle vision mount coming this Week. I could also try just recording at 1080p and 120fps and slow that down or 4k at 30fps. Feel free to offer advice.

Glem - I've got that same camera for a while now. Ken Rockwell did some amazing photos with it.

I like your slow-mo, but if you're open to suggestion, it would be nice to see more of the pellet travel after it leaves the barrel in slow-mo. We only get to see the pellet for one frame.

Yes open to suggestion, but as I said really was first time out with it and just saw the footage at home on pc and wanted to post it. Just getting my feet wet and good suggestion! Thanks.

How does Sony define 960fps "slow motion"? When the camera compresses/saves the file, is it stretching those 960 frames into a specific number of seconds other than one? If so, how many?

It ends up being 32x for 30fps or 16x for 60 I believe these are the latter. Hopefully that answers your question.
