New barrel on trail np

I was thinking about how people are changing the barrels on pcp's, and was wondering if it was possible on a springer ( benjamin trail ). The reson i picked the trail 1. Thats what i have and 2.crosman barrels are hit and miss So I looked it up. It is!!! I found some information on how to do it, but no results on how well it improved or where to get a good barrel. Also can the shroud be put on the new barrel. Any insight would be great. If you're asking why put that much work into a trail np and not just buy a nice German springer; well I think it would be fun and definitely a learning experience.

First-have you tried different pellets? Second-are your stock screws snug? Third-is there play in the breech area, does the barrel move if you try to wiggle it side to side? If so see if tightening the pivot bolt helps. You might want to do a search on polishing the crown before changing barrels. Try running a Q-tip around the barrel crown and see if there are any burrs that catch fibers.
If you still think you need a new barrel-Go for it! In the process you'll see that the breech washers are plastic, and that there's a sleeve inside the hole where the pivot bolt goes.
Where are you sourcing the new barrel?
