New ATOM-X BR & FT gun in the works?

Guys,

I’m surprised that no one has posted about this here yet? I found this information on Benchrest.com and it linked back here (link below) regarding a new gun being developed. I was looking for info on the dimensions of the Anschutz 5065 trigger unit, and stumbled up this new gun being developed.

Anyone know anything further than what was posted at the link?

They are planning to offer it with your choice of options, including high end triggers like Anschutz and Walther units, various barrels, etc.

Despite its appearance, it supposedly has no similarities to the Theoben or RAW action internally either.

Looks interesting.

When will the Atom rifles be available for sale?
No date has been set but we are aiming to have a very small number of rifles available for sale somewhere in the second half of 2018.

How much will it cost?
I honestly don't know at this stage. We are in the process to secure supply of components etc. and price depends very much on qty ordered.
We are juggling to try and find a balance between a thumb-suck of demand and how many we can afford to build with pretty limited start-up capital. "

Benchrest result from 1 tester with shooting pedigree , in South Africa on 19 Feb./2018 :

"I have competed for the first time yesterday in formal BR competition with this rifle. It is very solid and finish is top class. Only shot a few shots prior to yesterday's competition (not even a full card) - and first impression is fantastic. It is super consistent and very accurate.

This rifle won the first formal competition entered - I shot a 247 7x and 250 10x for a 497 17x total in tricky conditions (yes the second full card that I shot with this rifle was a 250 - scored electronically).

For a little perspective: - My younger son Mika (not Liam who competed in last year's World Cup) has not touched an airrifle for more than 18 months, also competed with this rifle yesterday. Shot a 248 15x first target to win the junior class and finished third overall in open class."

FIELD TARGET MODELS

Here's a laminate & alu stock renders ...the laminate is work in progress and we will post pictures of actual stock when completed. The aluminium one is also being finalised before green lighting alu company to fabricate...

There will be 2 options in the Field Target stocks offerings ...user specifies Short or Long stock (A. or B.) - as it can also depend what barrel length or air cylinder length will be fitted, purely for cosmetics...

NB: there is a current survey on FB 'pimpmyairgun' - asking A or B preference ?

Walnut / Laminate - variety of colours to be offered dependant on supplied laminate blanks

Hard Anodized - Red, Blue, Black, Natural, Gun Metal Grey

So does that mean it’s just an Australian air rifle or will it make it to the states? Would be a great shame for it to not get it right here too.

I'd love to see it here as well but if that ever did happen, the 4 month wait for a RAW might start to seem kinda "fast". Uj

Update: No worries guys ... distribution will happen with an appointed Euro shop some of you use.... Great facility set up including a range where guns will be chrono'd and in due course will be featured on their website sometime end of the year... once availibility & stocked, we will update on all airgun forums... so just enjoy your 2018 season for now..
