New air gun? What is this? Extreme Leshiy?

He's "all in" and ready to distribute with 1,000 produced already and machining to make many more. It's a good business model. Good for him.

He said that is ready to ship them less of one month and shows an unfinished Anubis gun, using a Leshiy butt plate. Nevertheless the pneumatic design looks very good. Only push a button and the gun is ready to shoot.

I'd never even consider the original because a very pricey single shot is just not appealing. Multi shot is just an obvious upgrade and edgun were stupid not to do it themselves

I believed that Ed design the Leshiy only to shoot and hit the target. And used it in the cool woods or in urban environments. Completely mechanical and did not depend of others technology like apps, electronics or something like that.

Great video and like the final design look. I really enjoy shooting my Leshiy and there is something therapeutic about taking your time with the single loading (I guess similar to how a died in the wool springer shooter feels). I don't see this as a replacement, but definitely a nice upgrade. His cocking of the gun seems really effortless and the 120J (88fpe) rating on a .30 is pretty high. I've gottent my Leshiy close to 70 fpe and it's a handful at that.

Yea if you own the leshiy already I don't think it is worth replacing. However, if you are in the market for something like the leshiy, there is basically no debate about which one you should get. This is assuming it has good accuracy of course. However, the website states it should get 20mm groups at 50m which is basically equivalent to the leshiy from my experience.

Let us give credit where it is due. Ed’s designs have been revolutionary in a number of ways. He is a hobbiest who brought his unique ideas to market. He posts as a member on several forums. He seems genuinely sincere in his posts and videos, which give free advice and tips other companies keep top secret. Sure he may have a bit of an ego; After all, he is an inventor. Ed doesn’t let down. He takes his own time improving on past models. I can’t think of one other company with his business model in our Airgun world.

This product is expanding on Ed’s own creativity. No one person can think of everything. That’s the beauty here with the redesign by someone else. Remember the BASF commercials a decade or two ago? “We don’t make the things you buy. We make the things you buy better”. Better... it’s subjective unless improving on quality, sustainability, and safety.

I think the magazine is a wonderful idea. But, I see the beauty in simplicity too. I have a few Airguns which I wished were not multi-shot. But, each to his own..

As a disclaimer, I do own an Edgun. Never fired it though. She sleeps with the other safe queens as I am mostly a collector at this point.

I think Ed's designs are great and he was/still is a pioneer in the industry. From what I've read it seems like when a gun is perfect to him he moves onto the next project. There's still no other airgun you can run over with a car and then go shoot groups at 50 and 100 meters. The Leshiy is a great gun. With my .30 barrel I can get a nice 60 fpe which are damn accurate for short range fun. A little lobby for a .30 at distance, but then again ultimate power is not what it's about. I feel .25 would be the sweet spot for the Leshiy - I'll be getting a .25 barrel soon.

I'll be following this airgun closely as it piques my interest.

The stills all look like high-end CGI to me. He may be a ways off from full production and maybe only currently has some prototypes including the one he is holding. April 2020 release sure seems ambitious to me from what I've seen so far, but who knows.

Interesting that he specifically admits in his video how he built it directly off of the leshiy platform, using some leshiy parts and technology after speaking with the owner, and then obliquely threatens Edgun and their dealers. Lawsuit waiting to happen here in the states, but perhaps Russian IP law is not as strict.

Guy kind of seems like a tool to me either way. Might be a great engineer, but definitely a terrible business man just judging from some of his choices in that video. I don't expect to see much from him.

I was just looking for a used EGGUN to buy over the past week (haven't found one yet) and if this rifle actually hits the market I WILL buy one and maybe many more.

I'd like get in touch with gentleman about some business actually. If you are reading this please reach out to me. You look like you have success in your eyes, and maybe a small chip on your shoulder 😉

ED is working anyway. At least better than kalibrgun. Not like FX but he made new r5m, lelya 2 and leshiy.

His problem is he never listens to his customers.

ha ha sounds like steve jobs, he famously said "People don't know what they want until you show it to them. That's why I never rely on market research. Our task is to read things that are not yet on the page.”

I have a leshiy and love its simplicity.
