Tuning New addition to the M3

Well when I saw these were available on a post, here on AGN back in September, I was a bit concerned about the extra weight on the regulator but that concern faded when I thought about it for a couple of months.

So then, out of the blue one day, the addiction started whining and complaining, like it always does when it wants something, and soon made it plain to me that I just had to have a 700cc bottle. So, not wanting to get into another fight, at that time cuz I seldom win, and since I was already in front of the computer, I went ahead and ordered it and the FX M3 valve as well.

The delivery guy dropped the box on the doorstep and ran. He may have halfheartedly knocked but more like he brushed up against the door and then was gone. Still I heard it somehow so, dragged my buns out of bed threw on my robe, then flew up the stairs, and opened the door as I was expecting the bottle to be here soon. Yup there was a box there alright I scooped it up, ran downstairs and quickly sliced it open. Sure enough there was the brand new 700cc bottle I had expected.

So, I grabbed the valve, that was just sitting there waiting, and twisted it in. It was a bit tight going on, but I did manage to get it installed all the way. After looking at it for a bit I took the gun over to the Yong Heng and hooked it up. I was surprised how quickly the little compressor filled it to it's 300bar limit. The tank was a bit warm, after the fill, but not hot. :^)

Can't wait to get this thing out for some more range time. The 700cc bottle should give the .30 Sniper a few more shots per fill for sure.

Found the bottle here;

After I ordered the bottle I had a little trouble finding a vendor with a valve in stock but after a few minutes of searching I found it at Talon Tunes so I grabbed one.

Actually when the wife ran off and left me with two preteen daughters to raise on my own I moved to the basement so they could each have their own room. That was twenty some odd years back. They both have families of their own now and live in Utah. I just never moved back upstairs. I sleep in a room with no door and only studs and paneling for two walls the other two are just unfinished concrete. No wife no life I think is how it is. ;^) Some things need a woman's touch and there ain't one here. So, the finer things in life things just don't have much of a place here. Most things just don't matter anyway I have noticed.

Your place is awesome and the ENVY of any MAN! Cool Digs!

Can you hook on the bottle without the valve? A 80 bucks valve is not something I want to pay for...

Call FX USA and order the valve directly. Last time I bought them they were either $50 or $55 each plus $9 shipping USPS Priority (I bought 2 at the time, and it was the same shipping cost for one or two). Easy and pleasant to deal with, in stock and quick delivery.

Or (I personally recommend) spend the money on the Saber Tactical Bottle Degasser Kit and, like biohazardman specifies above, use the valve from your little 480 bottle.

I understand the addiction ! I haven't been able to control mine very well either !

When you get a chance to shoot your M3 please share the increased shot count.

I have not bought a 300bar valve yet for my M3, so I'm curious the added shots from a 300 bar fill

There might be another way to swap the valve.

I doubt if it as safe and easy Saber Tactical degassing/valve removal tool.

Same here, though never had a wife, and its a lifetime since i had a GF,,,,,literally

But i have been in this apartment for a decade now, and moving boxes still line my bedroom, sort of filling in as a wardrobe

I have not installed a single light here, but i do have a floor lamp and a light on my computer table in the living room, hall / kitchen and bathroom came with light fixtures, but lighting in bedroom is made up of one of the flashlights in my collection of those.

Only furniture i have outside of my bed and computer table is a table in the living room and a 2 person sofa, and that table fill in as a workbench, nothing put up on any wall even if i do have a few things to hang, just have not bothered.

O i forgot i do actually have two smaller things with drawers in them in the bedroom, one is filled with stuff, the other house my summer clothe collection.

I did also have a TV when i moved here, but i threw that out a year or two ago.

I would have no problems living in a small remote cabin,,,,,,, if it had a fiber internet connection

We really don't need that much when it comes right down to it. Sounds like you are down to the bare essentials. There is something to be said for living that way.

Me, I have been in the same place for 40 years and it is full of junk that I don't need. I keep getting rid of stuff but it never seems to be enough. So many addictions I had in years gone past. So much junk collected for them; Co2 guns, electronics, computers, bicycle parts galore and an old MG Midget with loads of expensive upgrade parts. I really need to downsize.

100% on ordering the valve from FX. I did that for both of mine and the price was great and shipping was cheap. No need to pay any “extra” to buy from a retailer that marks it up as much as some do. I also agree that the Saber Tactical degassed is great. One note of caution though:

Reusing the valve from your 480cc FX bottle, unless it is specifically a 300 bar valve from a new Impact, will NOT allow you to go to 300 bar. The valve on the 580cc bottle that came with my M3 Sniper last July was a regular 250 bar valve (and the bottle clearly stated that it was a 250 bar bottle). I do not advise using a 250 bar valve at 300 bar. The neck/threads are a lot shorter than those on the 300 bar valve, and bad stuff COULD happen. You may get lucky and nothing go wrong, or…

It is worth it to have this tool. I own not only the ST tool but also the Huma tool along with a spanner tool. Basically, any tool that’s out there to remove threaded parts with a spanner hole I own. I’m glad, too, cause one fx bottle that I replaced o rings on the spanner “nub” on the ST tool was too big for the hole in the fx valve. It’s great to have choices
