New AAA Evol Wood Stock?

So after watching a few of the EBR vids, I saw a few tidbits of an Evol with a thumbhole wood stock and an adjustable cheek comb. Also looks like MLOK slots on the bottom of the forend. Is this a new stock AAA is introducing? I could only find quick glimpses of it on YouTube and it never showed the whole gun in its entirety. Anyone have more info on this? Tom, Dana?

It is a custom stock, whether or not the collaboration between AAA and Corcoran is going to be available to everyone, I don’t know. They’ve had a stocked version on their website for a very long time but it has never been in stock.😆 Hopefully, they’ll start selling some of these to the public. These AAA air guns are such a super platform, the Corcoran wood stock just takes it to another level. Just stunning!

I saw this too. It looks great. With AAA, will just have to wait and see. It seems they always got a lot of products development behind the scenes but takes a long time to come out. I remember seeing some videos of a regulated Slayer and an Evol .30HPS a while ago, those have not come to market either.

@The_Man,

Thanks for posting the pic. Anyone else have pics?

I think they nailed it the first time around with the stock on Dana’s personal gun. Had they offered those to the public nearly 5 years ago perhaps the gun would have appealed to a larger market. Every time I saw Dana’s gun in one of his videos with Marley I wished that option was available to the rest of us. That’s one beautiful gun Dana! Thank you for all of your wonderful videos, kudos to you Sir.

Looks good, but kinda goes against the thought process and reasoning for building this type of heavy duty hunting air rifle?

As long as Tom doesn't discontinue the Evol Tac, I think the adjustable wood stock version would sell well. Not everyone is into the "tactical" look and prefer a good piece of walnut or laminate. I happen to like both. The Evol Tac is so versatile with an array of different AR15 furniture (buttstocks, pistol grips) being offered to choose from. In the looks department, AAA did it right with the Evol Tac. Other offerings seem to be an afterthought but that's just my opinion.

Yes this IS happening. Does have an adjustable pad and a few other features not seen on production stocks. Will let AoA and Tom handle the marketing of it so I will not be showing any of it here or on my website.

Thanks Steve. That's understandable and I'll be looking out for any updates from them. It's good to hear that you're doing a collaboration with them. Beautiful stocks!

They auctioned that rifle off at EBR for just over $4000. If I hadn't just bought a RedWolf days before I would have bid on it. It feels as good as it looks too.

Two of the nicest and talented people I know made it, Tom and Steve.

Damn! What am I getting myself into? I hope they make it available in the .22 HPS version.

😆

Yes the stock shown at EBR is the first of a production model. We are very excited about this new addition to the AAA line. And it is a woods water and outdoors product.

Rob.

Thanks Rob. Looks good. Does it have an adjustable butt pad as well? Any pics of the right side?

Yes, any pics of the right side? Is there a provision for thumb up shooting?

And....no no no no. I was finally able to make a decision on a purchase....now it looks like I should wait some more. Any rough idea on availability? And as also mentioned above by Peskadot671, will it be available in .22HPS?

Steve, your stuff is always 10s. And this new EVOL stock is not breaking that trend. I've had two different airgun friends in the past couple years tell me they'd be interested in a wood stocked EVOL. So I think you, Tom, and Robert/AOA are spot on with this endeavor.

(I've got a one piece pistol "stock" for a 1720T on order from Woods and Water and pretty dang excited for it).

I appreciate all the positive comments on our new wood stock! As stated above, this stock is a collaboration between American Air Arms and Steve Corcoran (woods and water outdoors), and the complete gun in 22 and 30 caliber will be available to everyone through Airguns of Arizona as standard items.

EVOL TAC will not be discontinued; this stock is just another option for the EVOL line.

There are a lot of really neat features incorporated in the design. I feel each feature has a real purpose and will list a few:

Thumbhole design is as inline as possible for for quick offhand, off axis recoil mitigation, improved cant control, and most importantly the adjustable comb height will handle even the largest objective lens scopes without the need to be jacked way up.

Vertical thumb hole. This is one of Steve's amazing designs that allows super consistent thumb placement.

Adjustable rubber butt plate that not only adjusts up and down but also rotates on the vertical axis to match the shooters shoulder - Also Steve's design.

M-LOK rail allows for just about any accessory while maintaining a snag-free forend for bag or rest use.

Standard sling studs for field use.

And of course all these stocks will have Steve's amazing workmanship with beautiful wood.
