New .30 Cal AT Vulcan 3 On The Way. It's Here

I ordered a new .30 cal Vulcan 3 from Talon Tunes this morning. Judging from the specs this thing is going to be the regulated slug gun king of the hill.

135cc plenum

700mm CZ hammer forged chokeless barrel.

Pin style probe so it won't damage cup base slugs.

Up to 170 bar reg.

20moa picatinny rail and built like a light tank.

Everything I wanted to change on the impact is already done on the Vulcan 3 so it was time to make the change.

Anyone else with a Vulcan 3" Give us your thoughts.

O yeah. Man i would like to be able to buy the very same, but anything larger then the smallest caliber are unreasonable hard to get at where i live.

Envy is such a hard feeling for me to deal with, fortunately not a feeling i get often.

O and i have decided i am going to buy a vulcan 3 too, even if locked to .177 i will have to make do with the 500 mm one and really wanting a 700 MM one.

When i picked up the Maverick i did also feel up the much similar vulcan 2 ( long & short version ) among other guns, and they feel really nice for sure.

I saw somewhere that there seem to be a plan for un-choked barrels for all the calibers, so if i get the 500 mm one, maybe upgrade to a un-choked 700 mm later on.

The Vulcan 3 look just like my .30 Uragan...

Tony at Talon Tunes was kind enough to send me some pictures of my new Vulcan 3 to hold me over until it ships this week. I love it as well as the great service from Talon Tunes.

Can't wait to shoot it.

I'm a large frame person 6'3" and the wood stock on this gun isn't as large as it looks in pictures. My hand is just a little cramped by the base of the pistol grip but other than that I really like it. I think I'll be adding just enough hammer weight to take the ping out of it. It's not loud but I want to get rid of every noise I can. The aluminum magazines are really nice.

Congratulations! I have a Vulcan 2 that I'm really impressed with. SO, impressed that I feed I want another from AGT. I want a .30 light slug shooter, but this 700mm seems a little too long and the 500mm seems a little short. Has anyone here had the Uragan in .30 for lighter to medium slugs, and can tell how it shoots? I'm really at a cross-road between the V3 Long, V3 Short, or the Uragan .30?

Zoomed in on the pics and just realized how beefy that barrel shroud is. There’s no up/down play or droop on that barrel is there?

when the synthetic stocks are available are you going to swap out the wood for one, James?

last question- are the cocking handles reversible?

The barrel feels pretty solid compared to an impact. The barrel stops about the end of the bottle and the rest of the 38mm shroud is baffled. No other suppressor is needed and it came out of the box with a 107fpe tune by Tony @ Talon Tunes. There is a 14x1.25 threaded section for an additional moderator if you want it.

I'll probably keep the wood since AT accessory stocks are priced a little high for my liking. The walnut stock is light at 1 pound 4 1/2 ounces.

Cocking handle is reversible but after trying it I like it on the left.

The magazines are awesome and go in and out easily with a satisfying click.

The ground is a mushy mess here after a big snow so Monday looks like the best weather to go to a range.
