Never owned a FFP scope

If any of you folks have not tried the Chinese brand Discovery scopes, please do so. I bought a Discovery VT-T 4.5-18 X 44 SFVF-N for my Crown. I am very impressed with it. It focuses down to 10 yds. It is a FFP with excellent lens and reticle clarity. These are not cheap mass-market scopes. I am very impressed with its quality. I am not an expert on scopes, but I really like mine. I ordered this through AliExpress. It came delivered with a choice of mount rings and a camera mount. I think I paid around $250 all in. I think it is very high value for twice the money I paid. I am curious about the opinion of others that have tried them.

I have tried (and returned) several FFP scopes. The only one I have kept is an Athlon Helos 6-24X. I find its MOA reticle usable through a greater power range than others, and it seems to have pretty good glass. I can't say the reticle is "good" at 6X, but honestly, how much do you use a 6-24 scope at 6? I can't say I find the constant MOA advantage all that significant. I suppose in certain hunting situation it is better, absolutely no value (to me) in target shooting. As someone once said, "it's the perfect solution to a non-existent problem".

Same here. I compared several FFP scopes. I even shot with one of the other scopes for a year. And I liked it, but after looking at more, I settled on the Helos 6-24x50 MOA for the next season. For my needs, it has a better reticle than any other currently available. I shoot matches at both 16x and 24x, and it's nice to have a scope where I only need one set of dope regardless of magnification used.
