Neglected Taipan finally put to use

I’ve had my Taipan for over 4 years. After the honeymoon was over, I just never shot it much. Put it on slugs hoping it would relight the flames but I still didn’t shoot it that much. Finally I set it up with a scope that works real well with night vision and it’s found a purpose. I didn’t always need a .25 hammer at night so I have been having fun with this medium power .22 shooting slugs at 830fps and popping mice. Shot a mouse last night and then this thing showed up. I’ve bashed my Taipan for how it handles compared to other bullpups but I must confess, the more you shoot it in different situations, you get used to it. And to think I was going to sell it a year or so ago. Blasphemy!!

Custom sized slugs and they are tight. Couldn’t chamber them if the gun was a bolt action. I would post my 100yrds groups but I would be accused of being a cherry picking liar. So I’ll keep that stuff to my self. I did raise my reg from 125 to 140b and installed a stiffer spring but the gun just ran out of steam. Extra plenum did nothing. Need more barrel length if I want more speed without wasting air.
