Needing suggestions on new rifle.

"10Bore"Squirrels get the 22LR when I am out actually hunting. This will be for squirrels in the yard and around the shop, maybe an occasional hunt close to houses. I know how tough they are and can be which is why I lean a bit towards the .22 caliber.

Birds can be lured to the ground away from the building so as not to damage anything.

Understand the head shot on squirrels as that is where I shoot them anyway. Never knew there was any other place to aim.

Live South of KC MO.
Hehe, with a 22LR, you can hit them pretty much anywhere forward of the guts and it'll do them in. Subsonic might be an option, if the ground or a big tree trunk are your backstop. But that depends on how rural of an area you live in. Subsonics from a manual loading action and a rifle barrel length are very quiet.

Head shots are a little tougher with a spring piston airgun than a powderburner, because they can be hold-sensitive. The more power, the more hold-sensitive.

If you decide to go Weihrauch (HW), be sure to check out the prices from Krale in the Netherlands.

Many HW's can be shipped to your door in USA in 3 days for hundreds less than the US dealers. I believe Krale has a special arrangement with the factory. Generally great reviews for Krale service at GTA under the german guns gate.

I'm waiting to sell an IZH46M then I'll be placing my order for the HW77K with the laminate stock!

"gamyrick"The link works on my laptop and my tablet, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I know that doesn't help you so I'll be more specific. It's the GAMO ACCU .22. It's under $200 and Rick brags on it. He does a full review and some rabbit hunting. His channel on YouTube is airgunweb. If you search GAMO ACCU .22 on YouTube it should come up.
Wow, he did seem very happy with the performance of that model. Its a nice looking rifle as well. Thanks for the extra info on the review.
