Need some help regarding my incorrect purchase of Vortex Scope

Dear Members,

I have been using Vortex for the last 10 years exclusively on all my airguns. I am happy with Vortex.

Now an unusual situation has arisen when I incorrectly chose Viper hst 6-24x50 scope from a deal in open box deal. The scope is brand new and never mounted but I saw that its minimum focus is 50 yards while for airgunning I need the minimum focus of 25 yards.

Since more than one month has passed, the dealer is neither returning nor exchanging the scope.

I contacted Vortex for help regarding exchange with difference of price that I am willing to pay but Vortex says that it is not possible for them.

I am also trying to sell it to buy one of my choice.

If Vortex can re-parallax it with minimum focus of 25 yards and maximum to infinity, I can keep the same scope.

In this situation I need your advice and help so that I could get out of this situation.

Regards,

Bhaur

Or, you can re-paralax it your self. On the very front of your scope there is a locking ring to keep the front lens from turning. If you remove that locking ring being careful not to remove the lens itself you can adjust the parallax. Carefully rotate the lens out until it focuses at 25 yards. Replace and tighten the locking ring. I did it to one 9f my scopes. Now, it focuses exactly where I want it to.

a purchasing mistake is a buyers problem not a sellers problem and for Vortex to help you out, I would feel very lucky

^^^ This.

Not busting anyone's chops here. If anything it would be a tip of the hat to Vortex for extending that kind of customer service to you. A lot of lesser scope companies wouldn't be so helpful. Glad to hear you are sorting it out.
