I've just sold my motor home. Nothing like it BUT it takes the willingness to "adjust" a certain ability to fix on the fly and you have no one to cater to you. It rarely results in saving money (but it could). Buy a used camper. Don't buy the biggest trailer your truck can haul. The dealers will sell you anything you can drag off the lot. My personal opinion every fifth wheel of any size needs a dually. If you can dry camp some (wal mart) you can save some money. It will require a generator. Honda makes good one's. Trailers are made cheap so try to find one of reasonable quality. Arctic Fox comes to mind. There are others. Remember light wait means lightly constructed unless you go all aluminum like the air stream We called them the silver winkie's They are great but who the heck can afford them. Good luck. I did a lot of it from age 60 to 70 after seventy it gets to be work. Enjoy and be safe.

If a pull behind camper I am a Casita Fan.

Nice! @jwrabbit123 - I'd scratch flying off the list. My vote is camper shell, that way TITUS has access to you when driving 😎

And if you accidentally make a right turn at Albuquerque and wind up driving 20 hours before realizing that you're in Seattle - give me a hollar! 😆

I just got back from a nine day hunting trip in Kansas and Colorado with two other shooters. We went the airbnb route. It is so much nicer to stay in a home where you have a kitchen, running water, a flushing toilet, shower, clean towels, living room, cable TV adequate parking and above all, a real bed.

We parked in the back without worries about the vehicles being broken into. Had a place to sit down and eat and work on guns.

We stayed in a really nice one in Kansas for $100 per night, and the owner also offers a prairie dog hunt for a small additional fee.

As for pets, some of the owners have restrictions so check with the policies listed.

Doubtful I will ever stay in a hotel again.

If you need help figuring out airbnb's PM me and I'll be happy to help.
