Need Help/Advice. re: Tank valve leaks.

"intenseaty22"The new Gauge arrived and was installed today. Was ordered as advised from Ebay, only to realize I could have driven there in 15 mins and picked it up. Shipping address is literally 10 to 15 mins from my house.
So far, so good. Filled tank to 100 Bar. Holding pressure good.
Great, sounds like you got it fixed. Should save you some air between tank fills.

"intenseaty22"Well, back to square one....got to just over 3K Lbs and it started leaking again. Arrrrg!!!
Sounds like the gauge now. Those o-rings see no pressure to leak from when the valve is closed. If you wound up putting a BSP gauge into a NPT fitting that will likely leak at the higher pressures. Mix up a squirt bottle with a couple drops of dish detergent in it to spray on the gauge fitting. It will bubble if leaking.

No, it’s the valve still. Holding pressure for ever as long as it’s closed. When open to “feed” tank, it leaks from valve. I think I just need the right O ring. Will call AoA soon.

Gotcha, I thought you meant when the Omega up to 3K.

Yeah, def that o-ring or the seal under the retaining nut. Did you remove the slotted silver piece that's inside the brass retaining nut to see if the seal in it is OK?
