I'm ready to upgrade my scope for a new FX rifle. After doing some research, I've narrowed it down to two Hawke models The specifications are very similar, so I would like to know what the differences are.
the first model is a Hawke Airmax 4-12X40 AO, and the next one is a Hawke Panorama 4-12X40 AO. They both have etched glass reticles, 16 layer coated lens, no illumination on the Airmax, but the Panorama has illumination. The weights are only about 1 oz different. I don't need the illumination. The Panorama costs $30 more. Is the cost for illumination the only difference between these scopes or is there more? I do like the looks of the Airmax rectile.
