Hi Guys! I am in the process of buying a Gauntlet. My dilemma is I cant decide on a 177or a 22 caliber. I now shoot 10 meters in my basement but would like to maybe get to 75 or 100 yards. I don’t have to reach out to 100 if the gun would be accurate at 75 in 177. Do you owners know if it is worth sacrificing the smaller pellet to be accurate at 75 yds? I have watched a lot of videos but don’t remember seeing any reviews on 177. JCS

I do have a gauntlet in .177 tho.
Get one! Likes pretty well any pellet and naturally JSB’s are fine for longer range shooting.
100 yards outdoors, if you get 1-1/2—–3″ you are doing well, wind , and drop will kill you at a full 100.
Now 70 or so yards is outstanding fun even if intentionally shooting in the wind.

I seldom shoot my .22 Gauntlet at those ranges, but it will do pretty well when I do shoot that way.

I see many like it, 177 is the least expemsive shooting followed closely by 22. It’s s a heavy gun but since you’re benching it, it doesnt matter. BUY, SHOOT AND ENJOY!
