Need a Quiet PCP with Iron Sights

The springs are available thru bagnall and kirkwood. Or the retailer you get the gun from.

Best method of approach by far is to orger the gun with a regulator installed (check airgunarcheryfun.ca $50 option I think) I'm sure Wes would not mind setting the regulator at a low setting so you get a lot of shots per fill. Even at low pressure this gun should be moving 177 pretty quickly still... Then cut 1 or 2 coils off the hammer spring and see how it does.

Just remember to level the front face of the muzzle. The moderator levels out on the front sight post barrel cap. It's just a solid plastic piece that slips on the end of the barrel with a flat(ish) front face. All 3 I've had were not entirely flat, so moderator will sit a little crooked. Enough to affect accuracy. All you need is a flat file. Emty the gun of air/ammo, and check alignment with the bore to get it level/straight.

Dallas, you know of anyone who has posted photos of this process?

There's really nothing to it. Just look where the moderator butts up against the sight post, you want it to sit square. I could send pics, but there's really nothing to it. Besides using a file to make the surface flat (it's already %97 flat) , just small molding marks there

A descent Red Dot Sight on a Fortitude could also work as a nice Light weight rifle. About a 5.5 to 6 Pound ready to shoot weight with my TRS-25 Red Dot weight 4.0 ounces, on my Fortitude, it is Nice and light for Off hand shooting or carrying through the woods. I have a few Bushnell TRS-25 Red Dot Sights they work pretty well, they are Very compact and Light weight. Yeah Pyramyd Air is good. The Fortitude Gen.2 is Quiet, it has a Long barrel 23.31 inch long barrel and shroud making it quiet, you can Adjust the Velocity and Sound Level a couple of ways, one way is the hammer spring adjustment with a Allen wrench no need to remove anything on the gun, by adjusting the Power down a Little bit you can reduce the report Sound at the same time and increase the number of shots per fill. Another way is shoot a little heavier pellet to reduce the sound of the report somewhat.

I like that idea! What kind of rail adapter did you find to work with that?

I shoot a Maximus.177 in my backyard with a $25 LDC on it I bought on eBay. Very quiet. Comes with ok iron sights but I would upgrade the rear sight if I was using irons. $149 for the gun from Kittery Trading. I live in a standard suburban neighborhood and my neighbors stand and watch with no concern about the noise. Off the bench a 1 hole group at 30 yards
