N50 cards with RAW HM1000x .22 HP

Had a chance to shoot a couple N50 50yard cards today. I always shoot the JSB 25.39g MRDs. Barrel was very clean to start and wind was nil at times, and less than 1/2 MPH for the first hour. One flag at 8 yards from muzzle. Scoring plug used was .035"

Adjusted my HST slightly and brought it from mid 920's to 940 FPS. Shot 2 N50 cards ( 243 and 247 ).

Ross,

If your pellet or slug hole touches a ring, you score the value of that ring. So, using your latest picture / example and starting from the outer ring ( 6 ring); if your hole with the appropriate scoring plug “touches” the 6-ring, you get a ‘6.’ Use the same formula for scoring each of the subsequent ring values to identify the value for the 7, 8, 9 and 10 rings. Each plugged hole must touch the black line on the ring.

Pro Class is the highest class and uses a .224” scoring plug. Sportsman’s Class ( your RAW for example) uses a .035” scoring plug, which is very generous and helps your scoring.

Sportsman’s class - plugged hole must cover the X to count.

Pro Class - just needs to ‘touch’ the X dot with plug.

Edit: I just noticed you did not draw the ‘6’ ring in your example. Just use my previous explanation and apply this formula to the actual N50 targets, so you can see how to score.

Make sense now?
