My verdict on the FX Crown Continuum

Strike #2 now with the little factory bipod rail on the front of the stock. Decided to throw some t-nuts in with a different rail with beefier 10-24 screws:

I didn't want to use epoxy, so I just threw some of this lipstick on instead..

This way, if the rail gets eaten up I can still get it off without possibly destroying it.

With the rear monopod installed last week, I think I'm done with the Barbie doll mods for this rifle! Everything is functional the way that I envisioned, so I'm quite happy now. Here's the completed stock:

Yes, when I ordered my Continuum from UA I asked that question and was told a spacer that FX did not make yet would be required. About a week later I measured a 2018 bought Crown and the Continuum, the difference was .0055". I didn't believe that a spacer was needed after that measurement.

Glad that you tried it first, perhaps a Gen I could have an issue, but not the later ones.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Ok, even better!

You won't regret buying these mounts . I have a silencer adaptor, scope mounts & scope cam system from Eagle Vision and imho all very good quality

Music to my ears! The extra height in those rings should be right about what I'm looking for too.

I also need to figure out what I want to do for taking better video, the iPhone + SideShot isn't cutting it for me anymore. The main reason that I'm recording video is for reviewing shots with different modifications, and so that I can go back and see how different ammo behaves in different weather conditions. It is extremely stressful trying to manage camera focus during all of that, so I'm looking for a solution that just works - this Eagle mounting system might provide the most versatility!

Very interesting design. Definitely looks like it's a lot lighter with just that liner! Did FX remove the air stripper entirely for the continuum or did they do something like placing it in the shroud itself? Was a bit surprised seeing the videos on replacing the liner showing nothing on the end of it since the normal crown had an air stripper threaded onto the barrel.

I had to buy the DonnyFL FX moderator package, as that was the only Continuum available at the time. I believe the standard package comes with the small, hollow FX stackable moderator, but you can add an aftermarket moderator of your choice nonetheless.

Sorry that was worded poorly. What I meant to ask is how does the air stripper function in the continuum? I know on previous crowns there was a threaded air stripper that connected directly to the barrel underneath the shroud, but from what I've seen the liner isn't directly attached to anything. So does it seem like there was some kind of redesign by placing an air stripper in the shroud before the baffles perhaps? Otherwise, I'm wondering what FX did with the air stripper or if they just removed it entirely. Definitely liking the potential with a system like this!

There's no baffles nor an air stripper.
