My R5 Matador needed a therapist when it's favorite ammo was discontinued. There was something real special about the 50, 60, and 66 grainers that were a match made in heaven.
Fortunately, I found a compatible replacement for the 60's in the form of the 61.5's, which group about the same - but the new ones hit a lot harder. For a minute, I thought that was going to be the heaviest that would be offered with the new high-speed press offerings, but to my surprise the 65.5's just appeared one day on the NSA website and I ordered a bunch for an audition. I was able to test them today, and I was extremely pleased with the groups at 126.1 meters in VERY gusty winds today in the mountains (30-45mph, and it was cold! ).
I shot these while still tuned for the 54.5's, so only moving around 760fps MV:
Hoping to try an bag some coyotes in the next couple of weeks, but they've been real scarce around my stomping grounds this winter. I'm sure these will drop them on impact!
PS - I had to sneak that one in of my Jeep, otherwise it'll misfire on me the next time I roll out there
