My thoughts on the Hatsan Bullboss so far

So I picked up my first pcp rifle last week, the Hatsan Bullboss in 25 .
I had departed between several manufacturers but liked the pup design and the bolt location so I went for it.
I do not tinker to much (yet) so I was looking for something decent out of the box, that I could just shoot and not break the bank. I don't chronograph tune or anything, I just shoot and use the poi as a reference to performance.
My backyard is short 23yards to be exact, neighbors are close enough to throw beers to each other over the privacy fences.
First I checked all the screws and cleaned the barrel, mounted my BugBuster scope, then loaded a mag of JSB Exacts, pumped her up with my new 80.00 pump from eBay which worked quite well and was easier than I thought.
I then shot 4 shots to get close then fiddles with 2 more. The next 10 shots went in the same dang hole minus one which was touching. Did I get lucky or is this the type of performance that Hatsan delivers?
It is fairly quiet except for the annoying ping. It has taken 6 squirrel and 3 collar dove since then.
Yes I like it allot, today I tried a utube favorite of putting a bottle brush in the tube to help deping it.
Wow now it's darn quiet, except for the impact lol.
In hindsight , the 25 is to much for a small back yard, it's just to strong but it's damn nice to have the power.
So today I ordered an At44 tactical in 22 for plinking and gonna make the 25 a powerhouse for hunting.
All in all I am glad I chose the Hatsan line.

For those of you that think you will have to mod these to be good enough to hunt and plink with, I'm here to say as a newbie, you don't need to, they are fine out of the box.
If you want to fine tune them and tinker, there is plenty of room for that as well.

I also own a Hatsan. An AT-44-PA short. I did tinker with it just a little. Nothing permanent, only a few adjustments. They are awesome guns for the price and quite durable. As well as accurate to a to a decent distance. I use JSB king heavies in my .25 cal. as well as other varieties of pellet that seem to keep the same accuracy. mostly H&N. I also had thought that I was completely missing the target on a 50 yard range, until i had realized that each shot was going through the same hole!! A great pcp to start out with... ENJOY!

also, I think i will try the bottle brush idea. thanx
